Consistent fresh and good.

Predictable sandwiches deserts and coffee. French version of McDonalds as far as placement. Enjoyed our lunch and always enjoy their food, it is not gourmet nor is it priced as much.

Stopped off as heard the Macaroons were especially good. Didn't get as far as them as the pastries caught our eye Perfect quiches freshly baked with good coffee - a nice little stop off and great value compared to hotel prices

What can one say about a restaurant that doesn't even try to clean it's washroom? I'm not talking dirty; I'm talking filthy. Do they clean their kitchen? Do staff wash their hands? Thanks, but no thanks.

This bakery was amazing! It was our first stop every morning before a long day in Paris. The food is very affordable, for Paris anyways. The quiche lorraine was so delicious I came home and tried to duplicate it.

Paul's is almost like the Mcdonald's of Paris - they are reliable and everywhere. The croissants are average to OK, the pastries are fine - nothing special - and the bread is good. The coffee is VERY expensive. A tiny coffee and nondescript pastry cost me 4.20 euros. That is a lot to spend for breakfast, in my opinion.

I like the Paul chain. The food is good. Great sandwiches like the Parisian. Very good baguettes, thin and grainy. Food goes fast so you need to get there early, but early in Paris is nine thirty in the morning.

This is not a good bakery. The breads or sandwiches come from an industrial production. The fake traditional look is not appealing.

We tried the strawberry tart, chocolate eclair, chocolate brownie here at PAUL, and loved everything. We had to come back next day for more. One of the best places to get a variety of desserts at decent prices. It is located in a number of places, so its easy to find one.

Picked up wonderful baguettes here yesterday with husband and kids and had an excellent picnic in the Jardins Tuilleries. I particularly enjoyed the chicken and mustard filling and my husband loved the jambon cru. Oh and don't forget to buy the doughnuts filled with nutella. Sheer heaven!

We grabbed two sandwiches for lunch at Paul, which was just off Saint Germaine, in the Rive Gauche shopping area. We walked down to the Seine near Notre Dame and had a picnic with them. The first bite, I'd wished I bought two! I had a chicken with lettuce and tomato on poppy seed bread. My husband had a ham... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
