Best goat cheese salad I've ever eaten. And that's my go to dish anywhere it's served. Just, hands down, the best lunch I've ever had.

Found by chance, this excellent little cafe restaurant has fantastic food, nicely presented but more... They give you space and time in a relaxed atmosphere to relish every mouthful. We rush our food too much in UK. try this quiet little nook in Montparnasse for a real treat. Had advice over wines to match our palate and the pate de... More

My friend and I made a reservation at Rubis for dinner New Year's Eve. This cafe has a ton of personality and ambiance, it looks and feels the way you imagine a cafe in Paris might be. For €59 each we received a welcome cocktail and six course dinner with live entertainment ... for Paris, not bad value. The food... More

Decked out in its plush red decor, Rubis has an opulent feeling in its large dining room. The outside patio is a pleasant place to observe life in the heart of the 14th. The food is not bad, but, it does seem to be a little over priced for what you get. The real question is why would you visit... More

Wonderful place with live music and cool interior design. Delicious fresh meals. Generous portions. Friendly, funny and attentive English speaking waiters. Would definitely go back.

This cafe does not have such a great location being on the busy Avenue du Maine, so if you sit outside you are distracted by noisy cars. Nevertheless the décor is quite smart and the menu at first glance looks reasonable. My boyfriend and I decided on a steak plus frites and a salmon plus frites, and these portions were... More

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
