Description: On the banks of the Seine, moments from Paris' Ile de la Cite and within easy reach of Paris' most celebrated landmarks is Le Tournebièvre restaurant . The first thing that will undoubtedly strike you about the restaurant (formerly Le Rencard Gourmand) is the breathtaking view across the river. But quite apart from the fairytale setting, Le Tournebièvre is special in its own right. Its classic French bistro cuisine is hugely popular with locals so it provides a real Parisian experience, quite apart from the usual tourist-version of Parisian dining. The simple bistro interior is accompanied, in the summer months, with pavement dining under a wide, shady awning. The traditional French menu is created using fine, seasonal ingredients, with a wide choice for all tastes. And, sacre bleu, the service at Le Tournebièvre is both professional and genuinely friendly.

We made a reservation at this restaurant following the reviews we read on tripadvisor. This is a small restaurant on the left bank just opposite the rear of Notre Dame, so an excellent location for a romantic evening meal. The staff are fantastic, polite, engaging and amusing and the atmosphere was very enjoyable, bubbling happy chatter - even though in... More

In my opinion, this was the best meal I had on this entire 17 day trip to Europe. My steak was unbelievable and the lava cake was fantastic. I even ate escargot (one... very fast). This small restaurant is just across the street from Notre-Dame Cathedral so the view is a bonus. The staff was great and put to rest... More

We've eaten this evening in this nice little restaurant....excellent welcome, nice atmosphere and perfect food! Price/quality by far the best i've ever had in Paris. Congratulations to the chef and his professional crew. I'll be back and will recommend them to all my friends.

If you are considering to go here, do it! We had a lovely evening, amazing food & great service. The place is small so might be worth to make a reservation beforehand (we did so). After dinner you can stoll along the Seine and around Notre Dame.

We had dinner here on our last night in Paris, and we were amazed. We used our TripAdvisor app to find the restaurant and couldn't resist visiting it when we saw the rewiev. It was easy to find. Intimate and good atmosphere. Spoke good english. We had a main course and dessert and all the dishes were amazing. God a... More

Read about this restaurant on Trip Advisor, and when my husband and I were in search of a place to eat for dinner, we decided to wander over. It was well worth it! We arrived at about 9:30pm and it was packed. We did not have a reservation but the staff said they could accommodate us in the front area... More

My husband and I spent four weeks travelling through Europe June - July. We wanted somewhere nice for our last night in Europe/Paris. We selected this one based on TA reviews and the menu from their website (we wanted to try Escargot). Finding the 'perfect' restaurant in Paris can be daunting as there are SOO many, and I really wanted... More

We had a few hours to kill on a layover at CDG, so decided to travel to Paris for lunch and Le Tournebièvre certainly did not disappoint: the escargot, homemade foie gras, and beef tartare were all amazingly delicious! Sidewalk table, opposite Notre Dame was the best possible romantic setting. Marco's service was spot on: extremely friendly, accommodating, and witty.... More
