Description: On the banks of the Seine, moments from Paris' Ile de la Cite and within easy reach of Paris' most celebrated landmarks is Le Tournebièvre restaurant . The first thing that will undoubtedly strike you about the restaurant (formerly Le Rencard Gourmand) is the breathtaking view across the river. But quite apart from the fairytale setting, Le Tournebièvre is special in its own right. Its classic French bistro cuisine is hugely popular with locals so it provides a real Parisian experience, quite apart from the usual tourist-version of Parisian dining. The simple bistro interior is accompanied, in the summer months, with pavement dining under a wide, shady awning. The traditional French menu is created using fine, seasonal ingredients, with a wide choice for all tastes. And, sacre bleu, the service at Le Tournebièvre is both professional and genuinely friendly.

Chose this due to trip advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. The staff are friendly with good service and humour in nice surroundings with very enjoyable food off the fixed menu and delicious wine. There is something for everyone

When in Paris don't miss out eating at this restaurant. One of the best meals we had. Located along the quai Tornelle a few blocks from the Blvd.Saint Michelle over looking Notre-Dame. The staff was great, cool and laid back, english speaking, with no adgender but good service. Restaurant interior is subdued contemporary, with outdoor seating. The food was excellent,... More

We found this place from trip advisor and were delighted with everything about it: not far from a metro, nice friendly service, lovely view, most importantly great food. It wasn't cheap but we didn't find anywhere reasonable worth rating really.

We booked this ahead of our arrival and we're very happy with our first meal in Paris. Lovely location. Great food for somewhere close to a main attraction. Yummy food and plenty of it with a thoughtful menu. Efficient staff. The place was full by the time we left. I would return for sure

We went here for our first dinner in Paris and it set the bar high. We had delicious appetizers before diving into a steak special and fish entree. I would highly recommend it.

Located right in front of Notre Dame, the sight is enjoyable. But what comes into your plate is at the same level than what you can see on the outside. Usually restaurant well located in this touristic area don't bother with food quality, this one is different and offers a great food made from fresh products, beautiful dishes too, and... More

I would highly recommend this restaurants to my friends visiting Paris and the Marais. The restaurant is managed and run by young passionate chefs who know what they do and love their job. They would deserve a larger place to be able to accommodate their guests more comfortably but even in the current excessively tight location they offer to their... More

We recently visited Paris as a treat for my wife's birthday. I booked this place, before hand based on trip advisor reviews. The food was delicious and at around €50 a head for 3 courses and 2 glasses of wine, you cannot go wrong.
