Description: On the banks of the Seine, moments from Paris' Ile de la Cite and within easy reach of Paris' most celebrated landmarks is Le Tournebièvre restaurant . The first thing that will undoubtedly strike you about the restaurant (formerly Le Rencard Gourmand) is the breathtaking view across the river. But quite apart from the fairytale setting, Le Tournebièvre is special in its own right. Its classic French bistro cuisine is hugely popular with locals so it provides a real Parisian experience, quite apart from the usual tourist-version of Parisian dining. The simple bistro interior is accompanied, in the summer months, with pavement dining under a wide, shady awning. The traditional French menu is created using fine, seasonal ingredients, with a wide choice for all tastes. And, sacre bleu, the service at Le Tournebièvre is both professional and genuinely friendly.

Located close to the Seine, this small restaurant has grand food and atmosphere. The slate tables, the warm hospitality, and the excellent cuisine, makes this place for a perfect romantic rendezvous. They have a fix menu, and we were satisfied with a single starter, main course and desert. We took the Ravioli, the beef fillet (with delicious fries) and for... More

I agree with all of the other 5 star reviews on this page. Friendly, accommodating service, a lovely table, delicious food and wines, and with no pretension. Just a delightful meal.

Organising a party for 17 in Paris from a London sofa was made incredibly easy by the amazing staff at Le Tournebievre. Two weeks before Christmas and in a busy restaurant the service was impeccable and the food was delicious. Every single one of the 17 guests would highly recommend the restaurant

My friends and I were very well looked after. Food and wine were great. The latter made me leave my bag behind. The waiter sprinted after me to hand it over. So all was well :-)).

This was the first meal of our short Paris holiday and it was lovely. The service was efficient and very friendly. The restaurant is well situated in the Rive Gauche and is quite small but not at all crowded. The choice of menu was varied and we both very much enjoyed all three courses. There was also a good choice... More

We had a really enjoyable dinner here with a lovely view of Notre Dame cathedral by night. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially with my 12 year old coeliac daughter. Good value meal for the price.

Reasonable prices, friendly personnel, food is amazing! Please only note that the kitchen is closed at about 1330, then opened again at 1900.

The menu was reasonably priced, excellent in variety, and charmingly served. We also enjoyed a superb 2011 Crozes Hermitage at a reasonable price. The restaurant is very central and has a view of Notre Dame Cathedral. We were so delighted with the overall experience that we went back another evening and enjoyed it again.

This was the best meal we have ever had! We were greeted so warmly by a gentleman that spoke perfect English, was funny, charming, and engaging. He forgave me my awful attempt at french and explained the menu. We had some amazing Fois Gras that is made in house, and he helped us to pair wines with our roasted duck... More

Parents went to Paris for mum's birthday, so I and my sister decided to grant them with a dinner as a birthday present. We have written to several restaurants but only Le Tournebievre has replied and agreed. The price was not high as in other restaurants but their service's level was really good. When parents arrived to the restaurant they... More
