Description: On the banks of the Seine, moments from Paris' Ile de la Cite and within easy reach of Paris' most celebrated landmarks is Le Tournebièvre restaurant . The first thing that will undoubtedly strike you about the restaurant (formerly Le Rencard Gourmand) is the breathtaking view across the river. But quite apart from the fairytale setting, Le Tournebièvre is special in its own right. Its classic French bistro cuisine is hugely popular with locals so it provides a real Parisian experience, quite apart from the usual tourist-version of Parisian dining. The simple bistro interior is accompanied, in the summer months, with pavement dining under a wide, shady awning. The traditional French menu is created using fine, seasonal ingredients, with a wide choice for all tastes. And, sacre bleu, the service at Le Tournebièvre is both professional and genuinely friendly.

We ate dinner here on a Tuesday night. It was full by 9:00 pm. In our 60s we were by far the oldest people. The atmosphere was casual, fun and lighthearted. The staff was very helpful and friendly and we heard our waiter speak French, English and Italian. For a starter, we both had the tomatoes with buffalo mozzarella. It... More

Not many words needed, perfect and on our list for next time. We was there for our 25th weeding anniversary. My wife and I highly recommend.

Came to this charming little restaurant on the advice of the TA community. While TA can sometimes be a little off regarding food (mostly because speaking English seems to factor into every review), Le Tournebievre didn't disappoint in any way. The service was great-- as efficient or leisurely as we liked-- and friendly but not pushy in the slightest. The... More

Very nice, small bistrot on the left bank just opposite the Notre Dame. Everything on the menu is homemade, and the chef even smokes the salmon himself. The filet of beef was out of this world - SO tender, and probably the best steak we've ever had. The waiter was serving all tables all alone, thus quite busy - but... More

My tween daughter and I went to le Tournebievre on a Tuesday evening. We had 7:30 reservations, and arrived promptly at 7:30 to find several diners already enjoying their evening. By the time we left, the restaurant was almost full. I have no doubt, given the timeframe for dining in Paris, that it was completely packed shortly thereafter. Our server... More

We found this restaurant on tripadvisor after wanting a good restaurant to spend our last night. This was better than expected!! It is right opposite the notre dame and love lock bridge. The staff are excellent and can not help you enough and the food is amazing!!! I have not tasted food as good as this in a long time!... More

This place was absolutely amazing. We came in on a Fri night without reservations around 745pm and got seated immediately. The pricing is fair for the area, about 35 Euro for starter, main course and dessert, but there are lesser options if you don't want a that. We had the ravioli appetizer, all homemade, insane. The cheese was great! Next... More

this restaurant has an excellent manager called Marco who is brilliant. he went out his way to be attentive and helped us select a dish. Not only did Marco recommend but he also made it his priority to ensure we had good food. If you like Duck and mash, eat that here! The restaurant is also next to the love... More

We made dinner reservations here due to the restaurant's proximity to our hotel and its high rating on TA. It was a rainy evening and unfortunately, the plastic sheeting put up around the restaurant's front patio did not create the most charming of entrances. Once inside, though, it was reasonably snug and quite lively, with many other (mostly tourists, I... More
