Good traditional French restaurant

Go no further, this is the place for you if you are looking for a normal, straightforward French restaurant with very good food, a traditional hunting-related menu (with classics like wild boar, pheasant, duck and terrines of game amongst other traditional offerings), welcoming staff (with some... read more

The place is small with less than ten tables and with a hunting decor. We were very impressed by the ability of the waiter to manage everything in a timely manner and by the quality of the starters and of the main courses - fois gras, soup, boar and sea bream. Unfortunately the desserts were too sweet (eg the pear... More

La Billebaude offers an outstanding bistro meal for a very fair price. The menu offering was a 3 course meal for 32 Euro with moderately proved, but excellent wine offerings. The location is a few blocks away from the Eiffel Tower, so yes, there are quite a few tourists at the restaurant, myself included, but that's okay, we've traveled this... More

Our 3-course dinner experience was so good we came back for more. Had a couple of firsts in this charming restaurant: pheasant in cider jelly, wild boar, guinea fowl. The desserts were exceptional. Our favourite in the Invalides area, highly recommended.

We went to Paris for a few days, staying in the 7th arrondissement, the area around the Eiffel Tour, an area we have stayed in many times. We intended to eat in another restaurant but couldn't find it and decided to try this place, it was a stroke of luck. The staff are great, the food is fantastic, and it... More

Having NOT known that this was on Rick Steve's list ..... we discovered and reserved at this tiny bistro all on our own. I was almost sorry to see it on his list, as I fear the tourist run on it. But we couldn't have enjoyed it more. We love little bistros with blackboard menus, little English, and tables filled... More

First night in Paris in the rue clare. Great intro to old world France.... ,classic french, fine food, service, ambiance. Quiet soft spoken people unlike noisey touristy places. Just a perfect evening and intro to Paris. Enjoyed the Menu.... fois grais, guinea foul, and Normandy camerbert. OUTSTANDING!

Great local restaurant, exactly how a french restaurant should be. Looks like it could be in a time capsule from any time period from 1940s onwards. Lovely courteous man runs front of house . Whoever is in the kitchen does a pretty good job. Traditional french cooking - when I went lots of game on the menu. At €34 for... More
