Rognons de veau (veal kidneys), sauce madeira for me, and filet de bar (sea bass) with morels for Mary. Beautifully prepared food at La Billebaude. A real find with excellent food at a reasonable price close to the Eiffel Tower. And the chef has a sense of humor. A young chef with great skills in the kitchen.

Sitting in the restaurant as I write this...It's a small place with one man...(I'll find out his name before I leave) seating, serving, giving excellent wine advice, and clearing tables...doing an outstanding job. He is very personable with everyone....tourist and regulars as well. The food...very good...the wine that he suggested to pair with my roasted duck...excellent! A must...Just don't sit... More

A few weeks ago I visited this restaurant for the second time in two years. I was not disappointed. The food is honest bistrot fare. The service is warm and attentive. The mains were excellent, I had the sea bass which was cooked to perfection. The desserts are ample and lovely, so remember to leave some room. I was quite... More

My daughter flew into Paris for the weekend to visit me and I took her to a wee restaurant I'd discovered just off Rue Saint-Dominique where the owner does absolutely everything but cook. He is a phenom and sweet as can be and speaks beautiful English. He greeted us warmly at the door, seated us and gave us menus written... More

We visited Paris in May and I truly enjoyed the smoked duck there. I like it so much I went back for another meal two days later with my wife. The appetizer of foie gras was huge and delicious. The chocolate cake desert was yummy. Can't wait to go back when I visit Paris next time.

Yes the waiter understands english, but is very very rude! We have 6 people, when we just started to order the food, all of a sudden he said "You have 6 people, and you ordered 2 sets only?" We were just too shocked, because we didn't finish ordering yet. That is definitely really really rude! And we all just lost... More

This was by far the best meal we have had since arriving in Paris several days ago! The owner is very nice and welcomes you inside. We don't speak French and he handed us an English menu...which was very helpful. We chose this restaurant from all of the great reviews on this site and we were not disappointed at all.... More

I was skeptical coming to this restaurant because it belongs to the Rick Steves' approved list of restaurants, meaning that only American tourists eat here as unfortunately Rick has long ago scared away French natives and ex-pats from the Rue Cler area. Unfortunately for the restaurant, this part is true...out of 20 tables, only two French people to be seen.... More

Checked on tripadvisor as a good place to go. After frustration of long lines at tour eiffel we decided to go for lunch. Small place, only two tables with people... took the risk. The result was amazing. Great waiter, very correct and polite. Food amazing: mushrooms' ice cream with rabbit...uhmmmm. then a good fish and irish entrecot...desserts better visit them... More

For our first night in Paris and jet lagged from West Coast, i wanted the ability to read the menu and to have reservations near Eiffel Tower. It was raining so we canceled the Tower and kept the dinner reservations. We were eating on the early side and the second table in there. The owner had us well taken care... More
