Perfect as next to our hotel

Stayed at the Residence Nell next door so this was our go to place. Service was lovely, food was good and lots of it. We had frogs legs, burgers, lentils (and wine and beer). They were friendly and we would definitely go there again.

We decided to go to La Comete after seeing the reviews online and we were not disappointed at all! The bagels and omelette were fantastic and the cost for 2 (including coffees) was around 35 euros. The staff were friendly and really helpful. The cafe was located just across our hotel so it was extremely convenient too. Definitely recommend this... More

We went to La Comete for a few drinks on our last night in Paris and were very happy with our choice! The atmosphere is warm, service is friendly and cocktails are great. During happy hour (17.30 - 21) all cocktails are 5€ and very tasty. Also, a glass of wine costs between 3,5€ to 5€. The bar tends to... More

Café was located straight across from our hotel and found it to be full most nights but for lunch found it accessible even though a little cramped. Whilst I am quite a large person, I found the concept of other couples, business men sitting almost on top of you a bit daunting and a conversation stopper. I like a little... More

Bar/restaurant that attracts a young crowd (due to happy hour?). Food choice is rather limited, quality is OK, service is friendly.

Its a refreshing change to find such a good place with such value. The service was also extremely good. We went 2 times this week, once with kids, once without. We had the same waitress and she was great. Witty with an awesome french accent. We both loved her;) Everywhere in Paris offers a happy hour and a menu to... More

We went here based on Tripadvisor recommendations, and it was just 'okay'. We never go in during Happy Hour, but it looked pretty good: busy, with a good vibe. The signature burgers are quite good, but lack seasoning, and we were surprised to have to ask fro ketchup and mustard in a burger joint.

Compared to the other expensive places, this is this for money. Food and service was good. A bit crowded most of the time...so might have to wait to get a good table. But I guess it is crowded because of the good food.

Visited with my teenage daughter and had a 2 course meal for I think around euro16.50. She had 6 snails and I had the homemade french onion soup which was lovely. Both enjoyed our main courses- bacon and cheese burger/ lamb chops with ratatouille. Accompanied by bread- which we had a refill of and a carafe of water. Quite dark... More

Not to echo the same comments as before, but this is one of my go-to happy hour spots in Paris. The cocktails are cheap, tasty, and strong. They also serve some nice snacks that pair well with the drinks: cheese and charcuterie plate. The ambiance is relaxed and I often choose this bar for it's location and price.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
