Okay price, food average

The new trend seems to be all kind of menu options. Around the area it was the cheapest we found. But cheap is what you get. Had as starter a salad, which was okay. Main plate was Boeuf Bourguignion. Well I had better ones. The food was not hot, although there were only a few people in the... read more

As two young travellers on a budget we opted for the set menu options. Both the salmon salad and the goats cheese salad were decent sized portions for a starter. As for mains, the lamb chops were disappointing, lacking in meat but nice tasting. The fish was nice but a few small bones would be the only slight downside. As... More

We ate here for a late dinner. This restaurant has a beautiful view of Notre Dame at night! The food, well....it was sort of "phoned in" if you know what I mean. Give the tourists traditional French foods with little care whatsoever. I had foie gras which was cheesy tasting and off and then a Beef Bourguignon that was like... More

We ate dinner here on a whim and were not disappointed. Was it a 5 star French restaurant? No. But it was still very good. We did the 3 course meal and had the following: Faux Grois, escargot, lamb, salmon, crème brulé, and crêpes Suzette. We had a nice sampling of the menu. Everything we had was good. The service... I made repeat visits to this restaurant not only for the view, but also for the boeuf bourguignon! Great location, friendly staff & good food!

My title reflects two themes here. The first is consistent with many comments here. The food is really plain. It is not bad, but just plain. Simply prepared meals that will do the duty of fulfilling your meal requirement -nothing less nothing more. Wife's chicken was a boiled leg that was fried a bit before meeting the plate and fries... Service was very good, location excellent just next to Notre Dame but not in the worst tourist area a little more quiet. Food was really nice, especially the desserts! And the prize-quality range was good.

We were in a group of 41. They handled it really well. The food was plain and okay. It was well cooked but was lacking in flavour and seasoning. People around me had onion soup and vegetable soup. They both lacked flavour. The vegetable soup for instance just felt like pureed carrots and potato. It needed more salt and could... More

We had a night-time meal at Le Montebello on the outdoor patio, with a stunning view of the Notre Dame behind us. The set menu was very well-priced, and the total for two people (three courses with wine) was roughly €90, including service. Our waiter was very friendly, and accommodating of my gluten intolerance. The food itself wasn't outstanding, but... More

We chose this restaurant because the food smelled delicious, and it was very good indeed. I had the best ravioli ever, my husband loved the moule frite. The other dishes from the daily menu were ok (chicken and salmon). Very good price for Paris and the view... priceless.

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
