After some research, I went here in search of the best Quenelles de Brochet (pike dumplings in a crawfish-like reduction). These are so good that they are served with their own serial number. The place is old Paris, down to the décor and waiters. As others have noted, speaking French would be very helpful but it's not necessary. Be polite,... More

Recently dined at Le Laumiere with colleagues after a meeting. Pleasant waiting staff, food and wine. I would return if in the area again.

We visited the Le Laumiere one night because we have heard that it serves good seafood. We ordered the grand seafood platter which was delicious. This was paired with a very good bottle of white wine. Would recommend and would return.

This was the best restaurant we found in Paris for overall quality of food, lovely environment and the staff were friendly and attentive. It was first class service without being snooty. Although the menus are only in French and the waiters speak little English, they were very helpful with helping us understand the menu items. We ordered off the 39... More

Went there with friends and we all enjoyed fish, my friend was extremely happy with his dish of beefsteak tartar. The service was very attentive and the white wine complemented the food nicely. Great for a night out with friends, away from the noise of the big city. 300 EUR for 5 adults and 2 kids, a very reasonable price.

I stayed at Hotel Le Laumiere next door and was recommended to try this restaurant. A man was selling oysters out front and the place had just opened the front for dining near the sidewalk. I was escorted into the prime area of the restaurant in the rear. Handsome setting. Attentive wait staff. The best dish I tried was the... More

We enjoyed a very wonderful meal. I had the eggplant/goat cheese appetizer and coque saint jacques. My husband had the lamb appetizer and chateaubriand. We shared the lemon sorbet with vodka desert. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I speak some French, and my husband none. The experience wasn't as English-friendly as other restaurants - no English menu was offered and... More

We were with two on Saturday evening and had the 39 euro menu. The food was excellent, but because we did not order a bottle of wine (two glasses and a juice) the waiters became angry. It was my 30st time I ate there, so I blame it on the economic situation in Paris.

Close to Metro station. Great fish soup and steak at this typical French restaurant. Prices aren't too bad but an orange juice cost 5.50!
