Good French food!

Good foods, good choice. Loved it! Went here on a school trip to Paris and the place was great! Good choice for all pupils on the trip.

I went here with my school, they only offered us 2 food options, but me being a vegetarian, I couldn't eat either, when my teacher explained the situation and then the owner gave me a dirty look and handed me the smallest salad plate available and said "You get just this", so I left the place very hungry! None of... More

Was with a large group of about 35 people and this was an excellent choice for lunch. The group was well accommodated, the staff was very helpful towards our group's coordinator. Eating here in this size a group was good value for money. The food itself was quite tasty. options available were very good and we ended up with a... More

We visited here recently. Once you work out the system it's easy enough to order. The food is ok not outstanding but it is very cheap for Paris. Presentation for the buffet could be better.

This is a great little buffet style restaurant for a group of people. Pick your main and add-ons (veges), and drink. The staff were helpful and service was good. A hit with the teenagers. All up this was well worth the stop for dinner.

Recently ate here after visiting The Pompidou Centre. I had visited with school back and 2000 and only remembered it from falling down the stairs (uninjured thank goodness). We ventured in and it was so much better than I remembered. The food was lovely and the staff and service was fantastic. The price was a pleasant surprise considering we where... More

After spending a few hours at Centre Georges Pompidou, we walked across to this restaurant. It is not really visible, but it is next to the metro station, and you have to walk down the steps into this huge family restaurant. The food is really cheap, plentiful and not really that bad. The system is take main dish e.g. meat,... More

The food was as undercooked as roadkill. The toilets were as green as the food that they passed off as 'ham'. I coated my oesophagus with the slime of which the 'salad' was resting in. I realised that the old dry chicken nuggets were 'delicious' pigeon. The festive Christmas tree was a delicious green just like the spag bowl. I... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
