Gluten-free Penne

Overall, our experience was great! We didn't make a reservation but decided to try this café because we noticed it had a gluten-free penne dish on the menu as we were walking by. I'm a celiac and am having difficulties finding restaurants to eat at in Paris. The penne was delicious. It was... read more

This is that perfect spot that all of Paris is all about, simple café with great food and drink where all of Paris spends their evenings - very typical and gives one a great feel for the Paris café experience. Food was excellent, drinks as well. I started with a Ultra Violet Happy drink which resembled a Mojito. We shared... More

We happened upon this restaurant on a Saturday evening and were lucky enough to grab a table. The menu was simple enough to appeal to an American in Paris. There was a cheeseburger, chicken, and pasta. While the menu items were American the presentation was nicely French. The service was great and very friendly. Wine was good and the chocolate... More

I ate here for a quick dinner whilst on business in Paris. I was offered my choice of seat, and service was prompt and friendly. My first choice of salmon wasn't available as they'd run out, but I wasn't disappointed by the grilled chicken with fries (although the latter were slightly on the soggy side). The chicken was cooked perfectly,... More

We just had some wine and tapas on our way home. Very nice atmosphere and service was quick and efficient. Great tapas.

10.3 Euros for a pint of lager! Tourist trap. The atmosphere is nice, but not nice enough to justify the prices. Won't go there again.

Our first night in Paris brought us here as it was close by to our apartment. We entered and were promptly seated. Our waiter Camille was a funny guy who spoke great english which made the whole night just great. We sat in a lovely velvet booth which was cheeky and comfortable. Our meal was very good and served in a... More

A lively restaurant with younger waitstaff and a simple but interesting menu. We had seared veal with blue cheese sauce, fries, salad and crusty bread. A really yummy combination. Washed down with champagne. A good first night in Paris.

Service in particular was quite friendly and attentive on our three visits this December. Food was a bit above typical cafes. Atmosphere is noisy but a good mix of locals and tourists (certainly not all tourists). Well located for an afternoon at the outdoor tables, or indoors if the weather merits. Note there's a back door onto the alley that... More

After walking along Boulevard Saint-Germaine looking at the various places we wandered into this one and immediately knew it would be great. The atmosphere was buzzy and the staff very welcoming. Despite the place being looking totally full we were taken straight away to a little corner table. Food arrived quickly and with a smile. Good simple food, great drinks,... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
