very friendly and welcoming. Soupe d'onion just as it should be. Crepe au chocolate also went down well

I called in here to drink some wine and get warmed up. I was with friends and although it was a friendly place, I tried two of their red wines and I wasn't impressed. I will not be returning.

Just happened to stroll into the restaurant and have been back twice already! It's not just that we hadthe best onion soup and mixed plate of cheese and meats ever....... It's also that the owner and his coworkers are warm, fun , and friendly. We sat at the bar while most sit at the tables. Either place one feels at... More

Every time we are in Paris we seek out this restaurant whether it's for lunch or dinner. Great atmosphere and staff. Food is simple but delicious. Good value too. Try the cote de boeuf for a real treat.

A nice place in the downtowm area ,around the corner from the city hall, that isnt completely over touristic. Fair prices, nice food, friendly staff and a good ambiance.

We visited here on our last night in Paris, and it was a great way to finish our trip. All three entrees (lamb skewers, a burger and Tandoori Chicken) were excellent. These were accompanied by cold draft beer. We finished the meal with wonderful crepes. The service was good but a bit slow.

Our experience started out well. We had a friendly waitress and a corner table. The food we ordered was fine, average but no complaints. My step-daughter ordered an Asian salad, ate the nems on top and continued to eat the salad when a huge bug flew out. I killed it and called the waitress. Another woman came over and she... More

We stopped at this place by chance with our 2 sons and had a great meal with amazing service from the English speaking staff. Perfect people watching space. Highly recommended.

We've been going to La Taverne for years and have always loved it. Everything changes though and while the food was still good changes to the menu have taken away some of the character that we always loved. The au gratin potatoes which used to come with their incredible burger have been replaced by French Fries which is definitely not... More

Saw enough good reviews to drop by for dinner during our week plus visit to Paris in July 2014. Our apartment was steps away so it was very convenient. Service was okay and the hamburger I had good and messy and the fries excellent, wife's quiche and salad very good. The place had a good local crowd and atmosphere... maybe... More
