Since the reviews were pretty good, we decided to give this place a try. We speak French fluently. From the get go, it was a disaster. The place was packed (!). The wait was long. The staff was rushed and stressed. The owner was rude, with the most dismissive and uncaring attitude we've ever experienced. The food may have been... More

A friend and I stumbled on this gem of a restaurant in the Montparnasse area at almost 11pm while heading back to our hotel after a long day at work. Everything about this place is exceptional. The atmosphere is wonderful - it's packed with smiling locals and very friendly staff, the decor is warm and rustic Bistro-style, and the noise... More

Head for Le Cantine du Troquet at 53 Boulevard de Grenelle in Paris, a short walk from the Eiffel Tower. (There is also a branch in Montparnasse.) The quality and preparation were nothing short of memorable. Under no circumstances skip the appetizers: the white asparagus was out of this world. All of the entrees were excellent, but the rare tuna... More

A truly authentic French Bistro meal. The helpful and graciously accommodating staff made our experience the best. We went here for the last meal in Paris and we're not disappointed. Start to finish, every aspect was top notch. Our rather large group of ten was handled with no problems. We had some veal dishes, some ordered the beef and others... More

This restaurant was highly recommended by the hotel staff when I enquired for a good dinner place. He suggested La Cantine Du Troquet but there was a small catch. As it was about 9pm, we were likely had to wait for a table as it is a very popular place. And indeed... We had to wait for a while.. though... More

Looking for a place to eat our last night in Paris. Found on Trip Advisor Ap. Not many good rated restaurants in this area so this one stood out. We were not disappointed ....the food was great and service was very good.

Never having been in the 14th before, I was quite prepared to accept the recommendation of the boutique hotel where I was staying. The concierge said just go down the street one block, and make sure you're there by 7:30, because they don't take reservations Sure enough, by the appointed hour, there were barely any seats left, as an eclectic... We had to come here twice during our stay in Paris because it was that good. We were a group of six, which meant we had to be on the doorstop right at 7 when they opened, because they do not take reservations. They also will not seat you unless your whole party is there and they are quite strict... More
