The best bistro in Paris!!!

We have been in Paris for 6 nights and this was, by far, the best restaurant we have ever had lunch/dinner out there. The food is genuinely excellent: fresh ingredients, creative food, excellent wine. We had veal with potatoes for dinner and an absolutely delicious cherry and pistachio tart for desert. Everything was really perfect. The service is excellent too:... More

If you're looking for a genuine French bistro experience that won't cost you an arm and a leg, book a table at the Cantine du Troquet. The whole team is both welcoming and efficient. The food seems to come directly from small French farms. The menu looks like the food that French families would serve in the 1970s: nothing fancy,... More

Even simple crevettes can be a culinary surprise when freshness and flavor come as a shock to the the American palette. My terrine might have been a pedestrian choice but was served with flair. The highlights were our fish main plates -- bream and turbot. This is a very small neighborhood restaurant that has the wisdom not to print menus... More

We were going to eat outside but realized patrons can smoke outside, so elected to eat just inside, but still open to the outside. This was recommended by the host of the Cassenoix, where we'd eaten the night before. An excellent choice. We saw the Caesar salad was 17 Euros, so we figured it had to be big and we decided... Visited this place at the recommendation of our hotel and glad we did. We arrived around 7:30 and there was still open tables, but it started to fill up quickly around 8. The menu is on a chalkboard on one side of the restaurant, all in French. This was a little intimidating, but thankfully our waitress was very helpful and... More

Food is fresh, tasty and creatively imagined. The fries are fantastic, the burrata the best I've ever had. You can order with confidence because you know it's made with pride. Lunch for 2 was 54 euros, expensive, yes but good food comes at a price, even in France.

Although this was a very expensive meal, it will be remember for also being delectable. The servers were very kind and although the menu was not available in English, they were very patient and willing to help us learn what was offered and what would be best to try. The ambience is like a cafe.

I was taken here by a friend and colleague who lived in Montparnasse, Paris. Now get me right - this isn't a flash place, but it is really top notch in terms of quality of food and wine. Highly recommended.

I went here for a casual meal one night. I had wanted to find another restaurant near Pernety, and this was listed with good reviews on TA. They take no reservations, and when I arrived the place was pretty full, so I decided to wait for about 45 minutes. It was a good decision. I had a glass of champagne... More
