Great service, good food

The servers were so friendly and accommodating. I did not feel any sense of resentment coming from them as the French reputation indicates. The food was tasty and the wine was good. Overall, a good choice if you are looking for something worth the money you are spending.

Great atmosphere, excellent food prepared by a very young chef which is impressive, and the service is excellent. It's a great address.

Six of us dined here enjoying starters, main courses and desserts. The service was excellent, the wine list (and subsequent recommendations) was solid, the cocktails were delicious and the food was well-presented and tasty. The smoked salmon appetizer, arriving in a glass dome filled with smoke, was an exceptional presentation. We booked through lafourchette.com and received excellent attention to all... More

Although the food and service at La Rose de France was good, our recent experience dining there last week was shocking. My husband, my daughter who is fluent in French, and her husband (and baby) and myself ordered 4 "prix fixe" meals. As soon as we sat down at the table, my daughter requested in French "ordinary tap water" from... More

We ate here eight years ago and although it's changed completely (new owner, chef and decor), we loved it all over again. The foie gras was outstanding: served with honey - who'd have thought! Lovely location as well. We hope to return.

We ate dinner at this restaurant twice during our trip. It overlooks Place Dauphine on the Ile de la Cite. This is more of a locals place than a tourist place, so expect the wait staff to speak a little less English than you would hear in tourist areas of town. Seating is available on the patio but the overall... More

We've eaten here before and the food is very good. Service was efficient but not friendly. Very attractive restaurant and would highly recommend the innovative food. Price for lunch for two was about 50€.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and we were glad we took their advice. The setting in a peaceful little square was lovely and very quiet. It seems that many people complain about the service, but our waitress was charming, attentive, and very helpful. The meal was one of the best I have ever had. My entrée was smoked Scottish salmon... We had a terrific meal here sitting outside on the beautiful Place Dauphine. It's a great place to get away from the noise and chaos of central Paris. Food was very nice and service was friendly.

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
