If you are hoping to find a charming quiet location, upbeat decor and very good food, this is the spot. The place Dauphine sits off the Pont Neuf in a small park like setting. This restaurant has very good and well priced selections of interesting entrees, mains and desserts. All are carefully prepared and served by delightful staff, who are... More

My husband and I had a delightful lunch here in the peaceful Place Dauphine. Surrounded by French families enjoying their midday meal and children romping in the park, it was a perfect respite from hordes of summer tourists. Our salads were fresh and very generously sized. and I indulged in a creme brulee for dessert. Our waitress was welcoming and... More

Excellent. We appreciated being seated without having reservations. Truly charming, entertaining, but efficient waitress. The kitchen showed real respect for the food and the presentation of it. Our starters were the lobster ravioli and the onion soup. Both were superbly prepared, seasoned and presented. I want to draw attention to the seasoning because it was outstanding in all dishes, subtle... More

A small restaurant, so lots of attention and friendly, helpful service. It is situated on a lovely quiet square, overlooking charming groups playing boules or chess - a nice backdrop, For starter I ordered foie gras, which was presented wonderfully with a sort of thin flap-jack (this may sound peculiar, but it was divine!) with strawberries and tiny balsamic jellies... Spent more than 2 hours here drinking wine, having an outstanding meal and people watching. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. We both had the onion soup for starters (excellent) and the duck and the risotto for mains (perfect). Followed up by creme brulee and the macaroons with coffee (all superb). €150 for 3 courses plus coffee and 2 very... More

My husband and I have just had a week in Paris and had a lovely day looking round the Seine islands and late afternoon decided to have a drink and possible sweet. We made the great mistake of daring to sit at one of the empty tables at this restaurant and placed the order. The waiter/?owner yelled at me to... More

We have been coming to Paris each April for several years. We make it a point to set aside one evening to go to St Chapelle for the 7pm concert (sunset through the gothic windows is a show unto itself) and then stroll 3' to La Rose de France for dinner (reservations are advisable). This restaurant has never failed to... More

We recently visited Paris and booked a table at La Rose. It was the perfect break from sightseeing. It's set in a quiet square and is just a little hidden gem. The food is very good and worth the price. I'd happily book a return visit

Delightful little place. Delicious food; welcoming service. We have eaten there several times. Especially delicious was the little morsel appetizer of scallop foam.
