Peaceful meal off the Pont Neuf

We ate here for dinner after attending an earlier concert at the Saint-Chapelle. It was nice to know we had somewhere TA recommended and close to our destination. The 'square' is very cute and frequented by many dog walkers as well as a younger crowd meeting and playing 'boules'. We enjoyed... read more

The food and service were both very good. Gourmet coffee for dessert was divine with four small different desserts. Wait staff was attentive and concerned with patron's comfort. When it got cool, they closed side doors and turned on the heaters. Fish and veal were excellent.

Nice lunch spot - sat outside which was nice. Food was good - not the best I've ever had but very good. Service was decent as well. Worth stopping in for lunch if you're in the area.

I think it must have changed chefs & probably owners. We dined here several times previously & headed back here ready to enjoy it once again & was disappointed with the meals & the price. We will find other places next time.

Atmosphere at this restaurant can't be beat, lovely serene surrounding, beautiful table settings and they were able to seat me without a reservation. I had the Plat plus dessert at a reasonable price. I had the duck which was a bit tough, my first time eating duck so not sure what to compare it to? There were also some hashed... More

I had been here 2 years ago. I was disappointed in the Revisited French onion soup since I like the original. Service and wine outstanding. I had sole - presentation fabulous and it was great. My friend had the shrimp and didn't like it

While walking thru Place Dauphine we were impressed by the menu and came back for dinner. Unlike St Germain etc this is a very nice, peaceful area to dine outside. The menu has many nice options including much seafood. Highly recommend for a change of pace in the heart of Paris.

In a quiet square behind the criminal courts (Quai de l"horlogerie), this is a lovely small restaurant with great outdoor seating on a sunny day, Menu includes many French bistro classics like jambon a l'os with homemade puree. A starter of foie gras with a white balsamic was great. Service is professional and very friendly. Deserts are on the classic... More

My mother came here in the 70s and highly recommended it, so when my boyfriend and I came to Paris for our anniversary this weekend we had to try it out. The food was exquisite and so typically French. It isn't cheap, but worth every penny! We had "melt in the mouth" fois gras and a mixed fish plate consisting... More

On Easter Monday, we were shopping near the Pont Neuf and while returning home we walked by the entrance to Place Dauphine. I wanted to show it to my husband and since it was around noon, we checked out all the restaurants open there. The only one that had a table open outside in the sun was La Rose de... More

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
