Enjoy the grandeur of the Paris fin de siècle with an affordable lunch. The most impressive décor makes you think that this is a very expensive restaurant but this isn't so. The dishes on the menu are normally priced. The service is rather cold

We stopped off here for lunch (I'd booked ahead online) on our way from St Pancras to Turin. We arrived with all our luggage in tow: this was whisked away by the staff - obviously well-used to dealing with this problem. We were in our rather crumpled travelling clothes in amongst Parisian chic and business suits, but there was no... More

Having dined there on several occasions in the past and had a good albeit expensive meal, I decided to take my family there for my 60th birthday. I have to say that the place is spectacular hence the 3* on my rating. But and it's a big BUT the food was at best very very poor for about £100+ a... More

This is a spectacularly beautiful, old place. We had a bit of a 'layover' in the late afternoon until our train departed so it was a nice place to enjoy a break. It is a full service dining experience. Not a place to 'grab and go'. We had a Champagne toast (pricey) but didn't order any food as there wasn't... More

We came across this spectacular restaurant by chance and are so glad we did. We were blown away by the opulence of the rooms, it was like stepping back in time. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the theatre of the waiters serving the meals to all the diners. We were there back in 2007 for my 40th and... More

Elegant and indulgent setting. Excellent food and silver service with a smile. The window seats offer a lovely Parisian view.

A local Parisian recommended Le Train Bleu and we were not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the roasted leg of lamb. But what was even more impressive was the décor. It is worth a trip just to be able to see the décor of this old train station. The opulence is mind boggling. I do hope to return... More

This is the place for classic French cuisine in a grand setting. While the menus enticed, we stayed with a la carte options that included foie gras and soup, and two types of lamp preparation (one a special.) Classic all the way, and so good! Excellent, deep wine list. A cheese course to die for with many selections from the... More

Bring your wallet. Expensive but worth the visit. Get the lamb... Wonderful and again worth the experience.

If you have the time and extra dough I would say La Train Blue is worth the time to check out (once the renovation which starts in July 2014 is complete). The food is good but not great and they have place a premium on the food because of the setting. My wife and I agreed it was cool to... More
