we went for lunch

elegant meal served on silver trays and trolleys- superb anniversary lunch! Inside gare de lyon train /subway station. Such old world charm and décor! We went to the one in New York but there is no comparison to the one in Paris!

We just wanted to go there to see the room and have coffee. We ended up getting stuck in some small room at the back of the restaurant, which was disappointing. The service was pretty slow. Overall, we should have gone to a coffee shop. I would go back to eat though.

Dear client, We have duly read your comment but since our reopening in September 2014 after our renovation, we have got three lounges and there is no corner. We apologize if you felt stuck. Anyway we hope to welcome you soon in our restaurant. With best regards More

I must admit that I was not keen on my wife's recent suggestion that we should visit Le Train Bleu because I thought it would be old fashioned and over-priced. My doubts evaporated within minutes of being shown to our table. It is certainly a throwback to an earlier epoch but in a completely positive and fascinating way. The decor... More

OK, "Le Train Bleu" is somewhat a tourist destination, no doubt. But what a fantastic-one nevertheless! This is one of Paris' most iconic, old school, high-class eateries, located directly inside of the Gare de Lyon (Southern) train station. The grand decor, the service by the professional waiters, the reception, the views are all outright fabulous. All dishes are recommendable, the... More

We had a great dinner in this lovely and somewhat extravagantly/ourageously decorated ambiance. Very convenient for train travellers to/from Gare de Lyon.

Set within the confines of Gare de Lyon, the interior itself is museum like. Service was excellent and courteous. Food was very exceptional. Me and my family truly enjoyed our experience at this fine establishment. Kids 12 and under can order from the regular menu for fixed price of 20 euros, a pretty good deal.

Dear client, We thank for your comment and we are very glad to know that you enjoyed our food, the quality of the service and the setting. Indeed for the young children under 12 years old we propose a menu including an half portion serving of any item on the menu then a chocolate tartlet or sorbet or ice cream... More
