Lunch in a historic setting

Loved the beautiful dining room. Watching the ceiling is an experience in and of itself. Lunch was decent: lovely vegetarian salad and a lovely all chocolate dessert. Service was painfully slow but it is well worth a visit.

Even if you are not a train geek, the sheer opulence of this place is breathtaking. It's probably the most attractive restaurant I've eaten in. I went for the fixed price dinner menu, adding a glass of wine to accompany the champagne. The food was outstanding, as was the service. The price of €120 was not cheap but worth it.... More

I just finished eating a burger here. 28 euros for a burger is acceptable for a nice place. But oh was it disgusting. A value meal at fast food chain looked more appetizing. I don't mind paying for food but I expect quality and not a 2 euro value meal. Only advantage, it's quiet and gives you a piece of... More

It's one of those 'wow' experiences as you walk in. Not to be missed. The restaurant is like a mini Versailles with it's stunning architecture and elaborate artworks. The food is excellent and so is the service. Not overpriced unless, of course, you plan to spend up. Who would have thought the Gare du Lyon had such a gem to... More

The restaurant inside the Gare De Lyon is stunning. We booked early evening but the restaurant soon filled up. The service was very good and we decided on the Arts' Menu. Three courses with wine for €62. The food was pretty good my wife made great choices, mine weren't as good. The wine was a disappointment I sent a bottle... More

Based on other reviews and the wish to experience something historic we booked a table at Le Train Bleu. The building and interior is amazing and worth a visit, but the overall experience was on a midrange. I was expecting a very professional staff and gourmet food, but was not impressed. This is something that is nice to experience, but... More

Every time I fly home to France, I make a point of having tea or lunch at Le Train Bleu before I hop on a TGV. The restaurant is absolutely stunning, and the food delicious. I have never been disappointed either by the food, multitude of divine teas or the service which is perfect. I firmly recommend this establishment

Visited Paris for silver wedding anniversary in April and were recommended this restaurant. We arrived to a cool reception. The building and decor is exceptional but unfortunately nothing else is. The service was average, the staff were not attentive and the food was very disappointing. The restaurant was very expensive. Our experience was sadly a big let down and if... More

Only mistake of our four day trip in Paris was to eat here. The food was below average for Paris and over priced for what it was, staff were pleasant if disinterested. Well worth popping in for a look at if you are in the area as the building is beautiful but I wouldn't bother eating here.
