Very delicious

We arrived at 9pm on a Saturday night. Just 5 minutes waiting for a table. Order two starter and one main entree. Foie gras is very delicious. Must try.

We found this through Open Table during our last visit to the city of lights and dined here several times as a couple and with our kids. We actually made it a point to have our last Paris meal here since it was so good! The stars for us were obviously the foie gras and the escargots, we also loved... More

I had one of the best meals this Paris at this cute, little restaurant. We had the foie gras ravioli, cassoulet and pissaladiere. Everything was very delicious and the ravioli was exceptionally well done. It had big chunks of foie gras and was made with a truffle cream sauce. The person sitting next to me ordered the duck breast and... More

My son found this restaurant by doing a Yelp search of this area and found this lovely French restaurant. We did not have reservations but were seated quickly in a perfect spot outdoors. We soon realized that we were extremely lucky as they turned down group after group, couple after couple that did not have reservations. Fantastic vibe, relaxed yet... More

excellent recommendation, first night booked out so we booked and came again. Wise move as there was a line of people willing to wait the second night as well! Delicious cold soup of chick peas and coriander! It was such a hot night and we were inside! I kept wishing one of the many chandeliers would convert into a ceiling... More

Ok, Ok! Is more my fault than theirs since we walked in expecting something different, we didn't read the menu properly. With that said, the staff was very nice and the food was of good quality. Good option where you won't break the bank.

Le Comptoir de La Gastronomie is our favorite French restaurant in Paris, a must! We had the foie gras ravioli with truffle oil which is always superb. Their duck salad is also awesome, a huge size portion too! Cassoulet is also great. Service is excelent with English speaking servers. Don't miss this place. It will probably be one of the... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel, and it exceeded expectations. It was in a funky street lined with cafes and bistro's and we received a warm and welcoming reception from the waiting team, our table and seating were smoothly arranged and the service continued to be fantastic and responsive all evening. I tried a duck and orange salad,... More

The staff here are wonderful and attentive. I had the French onion soup, duck shepards pie and creme brûlée, my boyfriend had duck and orange salad to start and duck as a main. It was all very tasty!

August is not the easiest month to find a traditional Parisian bistro open but find one we did and oh what a find it was. We booked a table for 21:30 and arrived apologetically at 22:00, nevertheless we were welcomed with open arms like a long lost customer. We chose from an array of delights and ordered a mozzarella and... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
