Trip Advisor reviews encouraged us to try this restaurant and we made reservations for a Sunday evening at 19:00 which is when the restaurant opens. We were the first to arrive and so I was very surprised when the waitress wanted to place us at a table for 2 directly next to the cash desk....definitely the worst table possible since... More

If you are looking for a warm cozy spot with great, well-prepared French staples, this is the place for you. The service is revered but attentive and warm. I would recommend anything made with canard (duck) and the pain perdu for dessert.

We stumbled across this little jewel by sheer accident, and had one of the loveliest dining experiences we've ever had. The service was perfect -- friendly, kind, helpful but not officious -- the wine suggestion flawless (the waiter helped me find a wine even though I couldn't articulate what I was searching for), the food un-fussy and just delicious. Low... More

We spotted this restaurant on the first night of a long weekend in Paris and the feeling from the place made me me take a quick snap of the contract details. We could not get a table on the Saturday night at the time we wanted (first available table was 2230) but we took this to be a good sign!... More

This small rustic restaurant is a must, when going to Paris! Fresh, home cooked, French food at it's very best. There's no paper menu - today's selection is written on a blackboard in the restaurant. The menu can change from day to day subject to availability of quality ingredients. The owner speaks very good English, and patiently explained everything on... More

We had passed by this restaurant several times on our recent visit to Paris (it is on the street where our hotel was located) so decided to give it a try. We had a splendid dinner with exceptional wait service! Everything was really great and our server recommended some special wines to enjoy with our meal and a very special... More

I ate here with a group of friends on New Year's Eve. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were a delight - friendly and courteous. The food was excellent - we had pre -ordered our meal so although we were a group of 8 the service was prompt and efficient. The restaurant has a lovely... More

This was our last evening in Paris and our first visit to Le Colimaçon. We had seen the restaurant while walkuing in The Marais and their menu posted on Internet looked interesting. It is a small restaurant on 2 floors and the name of the restaurant refers to the stairs (en colimaçon) going to the second floor where the kitchen... More

I consider myself a big foodie... and I have eaten many great meals in many great cities. Now, admittedly, this was my first trip to Paris, and I know the city is famous for endless supplies of great restaurants. That being said, I really can't imagine a better French meal. It is apparent that everything on the menu is made... More

Le Calimaçon is a small, quaint restaurant located in the Marais, 3rd arrondissement. Its decor is a mixture of rustic, yet classy contemporary; exposed ceiling beams with stone walls and rustic-looking tables, yet with velvety black back rests, long black drapes, and black chairs. The downstairs part of the restaurant seats approximately 20 people, as well as does the upstairs.... More
