We wanted somewhere for good food, and some atmosphere, within walking distance of where we were staying. We found Le Colimacon on a web search and booked on-line. Easy to do. The menu is not hugely extensive, but the staff were keen to tell us that all the food is fresh and organic. We each had different starters, different mains,... More

Nice service from the owner, good traditional French food, lovely small restaurant with good decor and lighting. Good wine selection. Not too expensive, but not cheap. A fine choice for dinner.

I visited this restaurant as part of a group of four. We booked online via TripAdvisor/thefork and I'd definitely recommend doing so - it's quite a small restaurant and we saw other groups turned away on the night. The food was delicious and reasonably priced (not cheap, mind you, but this is high quality food in an expensive area of... More

The main dishes were excellent (we had the whole sea-bass fish and the beef filet with foie-gra), the entree was mediocre and overpriced in my opinion. The service and atmosphere is great. They let you choose a bottle of wine and pay as much as you drink.

While strolling around the Marais area, I accidentially found this restaurant. Form the outside it looks cozy, warm lights, with the typcial little tables spread over two floors imbedded in an old building with dark brown wooden bars. Please note that you definitely need a reservation, as it always is fully booked. We booked 1 day in advance, and we... More

The atmosphere of the very small restaurant is great and so is the service. The personnel is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant offers a decent wine selection with professional advice. Also the quality of the food is really good. We can especially recommend the “Foie Gras”. However, we found the restaurant to be a bit pricey. We paid EUR... More

On edge after a long day of travel, the concierge at our hotel recommended Le Colimaçon. One bite into our opening foie gras dish with french toast, and I was immediately at ease and knew I was in store for a great meal. The service was exceptional and friendly. The menu chalkboard was written in French and our server patiently... More

Great quality traditional French fare at reasonable price for what you get. Fabulous service - wait staff we're attentive and very knowledgable and helpful with both food and wine menus. Lovely atmosphere in a lovingly refurbished apartment. Highly recommend to anyone seeking a quality meal in the marais.

Recommended by person from whom we rented our apartment. Just down the street. Fresh food, prepared simply. Gravlax and a chevre salad to start followed by beef ( ask for it bien cuit or it will be bloody) and lotte. Excellent service. Menu changes daily to reflect what is fresh. Recommend booking in advance; people were turned away as we... More
