One of my favorite restaurants in Paris

I have visited Paris almost every year for the past decade and always make sure I visit Le Colimacon. I found this place by accident many years ago and I'm glad I did. The food has never disappointed me. On my recent monthly visit to Paris, I ate here 4 times. The capsicum stuffed with cheese... read more

First time ever happened to me, worldwide: a table for 2 (small) is available, I am unkindly directed to a seat facing the window / street with barely enough space to seat and, I suspect, to put a plate. I left, nobody cared. I guess I would not have spent enough to justify a table. Too bad, no clue about... More

Hello We are really sorry, but the restaurant was fully booked by the time you came and the table by the window was the only one available. Some other people loved to be seated at this table. Any way we are really sorry about that... Best regards More

Well, the title nearly says it all, but our hotel (dupond Smith) recommended this place, and I can't tell you how happy we are that we went. From the most interestingly presented escargot I have ever had, to the most flavoursome an interesting DUck, they just have presentation and flavour mixture down to a tee!! A must visit restaurant for... More

This was one of the top two restaurants we visited in Paris. The food was amazing. The warm pate appetizer was the kind where you take a bite and your mouth was filled such a mix of delicious tastes and textures, you have to just pause and enjoy it. And that is how it started, the rest of evening did... More

We were welcomed genially. There is a lovely ambiance. The menu is extensive but nothing special. The food is well presented and the staff attentive. It caters for and mostly attracts tourists. It could be anywhere.

This restaurant was a delight. Although rather small, it had a lovely ambiance and the service was excellent. The owner spent time describing all the dishes and was very attentive throughout the meal. We had duck two ways. I enjoyed my confit, though there was some fat that needed to be removed. Daughter had the other version with fruit and... More

On our walking tour through the Marais, our guide pointed out this small little restaurant. We showed up too early but came back in 15 minutes to a wonderful meal. We were seated upstairs in a quaint, nicely decorated area. Tables are close together but not a problem. We started with La buratina a la truffe (cheese with truffles) then... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
