Description: Sorza is in the heart of Ile Saint Louis in Paris not far from Notre Dame...
Sorza is in the heart of Ile Saint Louis in Paris not far from Notre Dame. This Mediterranean restaurant is of extremely chic and of exquisite taste. Unlike many French restaurants, this restaurant never stops serving; lunch can stretch throughout the afternoon until it is time for that pre dinner drink. At the weekends brunch is also available. The restaurant plays music throughout the day changing the genre as the day moves on, jazz in the morning and afternoon and lounge music in the evening. The dcor is contemporary and eye catching with black lacquered tables, red walls, candles in little crystal glasses and subtle lighting.

Excellent find!

I went for lunch to Sorza base on the reviews and it was right on !!! It is a small Italian Restaurant with at the most 9 tables in I'lle Saint Louis very closed to Notre Dame Cathedral. A very attentive woman run the show who speak english by the way. I recommend the fix dinner that has the option... More

My gaffe. My son and I don't eat meat, so we wandered in. The service was fine, but I make MUCH better pasta at home. So disappointing. And it took forever, leading me to think Mama was in the kitchen making it the spaghetti from scratch. Alas, it was dull, overcooked, with little flavor. On the other hand, my son's... More

We ate here tonight as my husband felt like pasta for a change. We usually stay on Ile St Louis so had walked past many times before. I have to say this is one of the most delicious meals I've had in a long time. I had the soufflé which came with a lovely little salad (I always crave greens... More

We made a book through TripAdvisor and thefork.com for a table. We arrived at time, and as soon as the hostess saw us standing right in front of the door, without saying any compliments she just told us that there was no table available. We tried to explain that we had a reservation and she imediatly accused us of being... More

We found this restaurant by accident and have to say that it is a little gem in the Saint Louis Crown! Fantastic friendly staff, very welcoming and happy to accommodate children as well. The food is fantastic and the menu of the day is such great value especially if you throw in a glass or two of wine into the... More

Based on other reviews, we selected Sorza for a quiet Sunday evening dinner. Our high expectations were met! The wine list is not extensive, but certainly adequate. We began with onion soup, finding it very flavorful, yet lighter than I've ever experienced before. My wife enjoyed the cheese soufflé, also a nice surprise. Our main courses were scallops on risotto... More

Looking for somewhere for a late lunch and stumbled across Sorza. French onion soup, rissotto with parmesan and basil were delicious. Show stopper was the toasted brioche, caramel sauce, chopped nuts and caramel ice cream dessert. Looked beautiful, tasted great. Service was polite and attentive - not in your face at all. Definitely worth seeking out.

Lovely restaurant on Isle St Louis! Interior appears fairly stark... until you walk in the door and greeted my a lovely multi language woman. She was incredible... waited on tables, took orders, made drinks etc. Food was amazing... with a wonderful menu. We were the only Americans in the place, I believe. Highly recommend.

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
