Indian food without spices?

People and the restaurant were lovely but our food had no kick what so ever. Food was fresh and well cooked but like somebody had forgot to add the indian spices. We asked for some extra chili and left the restaurant eventually full and satisfied.

After reading all of the rave reviews for this restaturant we were expecting something special. NOT!!! The food was mediocre at best, the portions were minute, and the price for the small portions was high. Our Dal dish was cold without much taste. The garlic nan was like a cracker and dripping with oil or butter. The lamb and chicken... More

Really great indian and pakistan food at very reasonable prices. The owner/manager and his family are very friendly and highly attentive. They speak French and English. Food comes quickly - and it's delicious!! I recommend the Nan Fromage and Chicken Tikka Massala. Will definitely pass again!

We visited this restaurant 2 weeks ago. The manager Khan was very friendly and genuinely eager to please. We are vegetarian and asked for our dishes to be spicy. He told us that his chef was also vegetarian so he is will take special care with our order. The food was really good! Just the right amount of spice and... More

Visited Paris a few weeks ago and happend to come accross Le Partage by chance. We went late one night with our 6 year old son and the service and food were excellent. We are vegetarian and were craving something besides cheese, bread, pizza, etc., and Le Partage hit the spot. The staff was very pleasant and the restaurant had... More

We were staying in apartments above the restaurant and were introduced through our landlord to Khan, nephew of the owner. After many afternoons arriving back to the succulent odors of the restaurant down below, we finally decided to check them out. We were sooooo happy with our dining choice! 2 of 3 diners were not into super spicy but there... More

This is one of my regular Paris restaurants and for good reason. The setting is trendy, yet cozy. The owner and staff are all very attentive to their clients. Each time I go there, they bring me starters that they know I'll love without having to ask for them. The food is outstanding. I suggest the Chicken Biriani which is... More

My husband and I came across this little gem when in Paris for a long weekend recently. The decor inside is very elaborate and comfortable, having said that we sat outside as it was so hot that evening. The waiters were very friendly and helpfull and attentive. The menu offered plenty choice with reasonable prices.( for Paris) We both thoroughly... More

This restaurant has great decor, acceptable service and a good central site - but if you go, as we did, looking for what any British diner would expect from Indo-Pakistani food you'll be disappointed. They have toned down their spicing to such an extent (perhaps to supposedly match French palates) that familiar sounding dishes were unrecognisable - a biryani (which... More

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
