Great food and nice atmosphere

We had coq av vin, and it was absolutely perfect. Served in a small pot. The creme brulee also really good. From the restaurant you can see into the kitchen - real authentic. And the chef wearing the typical high white hat:-) nice place

For years this has been one of my favorite Parisian restaurants. Not outstanding, but solidly good food in a pleasant setting. Unfortunately, it seems to be slipping a notch. The starter, billed as asparagus was n fact mainly old (brownish at edges) salad with a dressing that tasted straight out of a Monoprix bottle. The mushroom site our guest had... More

The little brother (or is it sister) of La Tour d'Argent, this place tries to maintain a feeling for old-fashioned service with a captain taking orders and caring for the patrons. The service is decent. The tables are a bit cramped and small. There are a lot of businessmen here. The foie gras was good. We ordered the Caneton for... More

la rotisserie Beaujolais is our fav. chicken place in paris. we generally eat here 2X each visit to paris. both our first night in the city (we're home again!!!) and our last (last supper had better be good!). you can't go wrong with this little gem. the food and the service are worth every penny. this is a must do... This little restaurant was just around the corner where I stayed. From the moment I entered the restaurant I was greeted with friendly smile and quickly showed me to my table by the window. Had escagot and pigeon. The pigeon was done to perfection but in some opinion it might consider rare. The host was very friendly and spoke very... More

Dining in Paris in general is a huge rip-off. This place was no different. The atmosphere was nice. Staff were friendly. But the food was mediocre. 22Eur for half a chicken? Felt robbed. El pollo loco here in the U.S. tasted better for less than $5. I don't know if it's because I'm Asian, but it was just too bland.... More

This is the child of La Tour D'Argent. Although the prices are lower, the food, the service, and why not the ambiance, are worthwhile visiting the place. I had the Coq au vin. It was fantastic. The space offers a nice view off the avenue by the Seine. I would go back undoubtedly.

Rotisserie is just that...the food is best when its grilled or cooked in a rotisserie. If you stick with this formula you will not be disappointed. As someone who eats more than my fair share of chicken, theirs is one of the best. For 22 Euros you get a half rotisserie chicken on a bed of mashed potatoes heated under... More

The poulet is the best. And the wait staff is very friendly and attentive while not being overbearing.

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
