Great food and nice atmosphere

We had coq av vin, and it was absolutely perfect. Served in a small pot. The creme brulee also really good. From the restaurant you can see into the kitchen - real authentic. And the chef wearing the typical high white hat:-) nice place

Recommend by a friend and lived up to and exceeded expectations! The Escargot memorable, the chicken and mashed potato dreamy, the fruit tarte desert OMG!!

This place is around 5 minutes walk from Notre Dame and it has been recommended by a French friend. I am so happy we went there for dinner. The place itself is very French (as you would expect for rotisserie!) Our server is kind and attentive, and needless to say, the roast chicken (and creamy mashed potato!) is excellent.... just... This sister restaurant of the famous Tour d'Argent is unpretentious and serves 'real' food that tastes like it was made at home, if the home is a great French family cook. No artifice, no gimmicks. Just great ingredients assembled fresh in the kitchen, and tasting delicious and comforting. The warm leek salad starter was out of this world; the veal... More

Being an adventurous foodie, I had their Rognon (veal kidney in English). Middle rare apparently is the best way to eat them, so there was a little bit of blood mixing with the light brown gravy. But trust me, everything was perfect. The kidney has a nice bounce and is elastically juicy, the meshed potato at the side + the... More

For years this has been one of my favorite Parisian restaurants. Not outstanding, but solidly good food in a pleasant setting. Unfortunately, it seems to be slipping a notch. The starter, billed as asparagus was n fact mainly old (brownish at edges) salad with a dressing that tasted straight out of a Monoprix bottle. The mushroom site our guest had... More

The little brother (or is it sister) of La Tour d'Argent, this place tries to maintain a feeling for old-fashioned service with a captain taking orders and caring for the patrons. The service is decent. The tables are a bit cramped and small. There are a lot of businessmen here. The foie gras was good. We ordered the Caneton for... More

This little restaurant was just around the corner where I stayed. From the moment I entered the restaurant I was greeted with friendly smile and quickly showed me to my table by the window. Had escagot and pigeon. The pigeon was done to perfection but in some opinion it might consider rare. The host was very friendly and spoke very... More

Dining in Paris in general is a huge rip-off. This place was no different. The atmosphere was nice. Staff were friendly. But the food was mediocre. 22Eur for half a chicken? Felt robbed. El pollo loco here in the U.S. tasted better for less than $5. I don't know if it's because I'm Asian, but it was just too bland.... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
