We went with very high expectations based on the reviews here--ran into two other american parties who read reviews on TA. Warning--the menu is very different; plates of kidneys, intestines, neck etc. Lots of duck dishes. There were very few dishes my wife would eat--no fish. We had a shrimp and scallops. Atmosphere is in a basement Not bad but... more

We decided to go here after reading the trip advisor reviews and I have to say that trip advisor came through yet again. The menu was interesting and delicious, the service was helpful and prompt and the price was very reasonable. I will definitely recommend it to my friends more

After reading the review of this restaurant on the Tripadvisor, we decided to visit last week, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is hidden in the basement of what appears to be an old wine cellar. It was tough enough to find rue Saint Ann, then there is very little signage at the entrance of La Tute. The menu... more

This Basque French restaurant gets extra points for the atmosphere - located in a non-descript entrance off Sainte Anne, you descend into a basement restaurant which seems like an old wine cellar. The environs is uniquely French and the family-run restaurant is very quaint. No printed menus here - they bring out the menu on blackboards (straight out of the... more

I went to La Tute in June 2009 and I really enjoyed it. It was hard to spot the retaurant actually because it "hides" in the bigger signs of the sushi restaurants in the area but when we went down the stairs we were happy to see the rustic rooms full of character and busy with French people. We were... more

Having found this restaurant via trip advisor (and going on the reviews alone!) we were very happy with the end result! Dont be put off by the location, I dont know Paris very well, but it seems to be in the "little Japan" area, sushi bars and piano bars surround it, but delve a little further and you find this... more

Restaurant refreshingly spacious for the centre of Paris, service was very pleasant. There was some decent wine at unusually reasonable prices. The food was good, straightforward and unpretentious but not exceptional and some portions ( rather oddly, those with beans and lentils) were not quite as generous as you expect from south west cooking - certainly not at this price (50... more

The owner is a quality freak - He descended from the Pyrenees to guide us back to food of incredible taste. His chooses his wines with the same care, and anything on the menu will charm you tastebuds like very few can still do. No lean cuisine here, quantity matches quality. If you want a taste of the South West... more
