Ice cream is excellent! Go early so you can enjoy a wider variety of flavors...they go fast! The lines move fast. There are other establisments that serve their ice cream too nearby if you cant make it!

There is always a queue to buy the fantastic Bertillon ice-creams. My favourites flavours are : caramel & rum raisins (grapes). The lovely island St Louis (centre of Paris) where Berhillon is situated is Worth a visit.

I have always been a ice cream lover , and this one really inspires my tongue of tasting ice cream. I have ordered the chocolate and strawberry sorbet , both are good ! And the richness and smoothness of the chocolate flavor make it become the top 1 of chocolate ice cream in my mind . Really recommend !

My mother is not a fan of ice cream, but she insisted we go back three times. It's a bit of the expensive side but the quality is worth it.

Went there after a long day walking. The ice cream was nothing special and expensive. A little disappointed. Would not recommend to just go there for a treat.

This was one of the highlights of my trip. Perfect for getting a scoop to take away and eat while taking a stroll along the Seine. It was a really hot day when we went but it wasn't that busy and we didn't have to queue. They have a really wide range of flavours from traditional chocolate and pistachio (both... More

We stopped at Berthillon's after lunch on a walking tour through Paris. Our guide books and other sources said ice cream from Berthillon's was a must have, and we were not disappointed. While the line was around the corner, we only waited about 15-20 minutes to get to the counter. The ice creams and sorbets were nicely rich and creamy... More

Best ice cream and yummy flavors. We went here twice on your trip. Flavors are yummy. We had fresh strawberry, blood orange, pear, lemon, french vanillla. Flavors change day to day. I highly recommend the fresh strawberry (not the regular one) and blood orange if it's on the menu.

I had a taste of Berthillon ice cream at a restaurant and I had to get some more. I found this place on yelp and was happy to find a little ice cream cart of Berthillon ice cream being sold there! It is pretty $$$ for ice cream, but you have to splurge once in a while to make your... More

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
