We stopped for breakfast here one morning with our 2 young children. The breakfast was ok, not great but not bad either. The kids liked the scrambled eggs, juice and hot chocolate with croissant. The only problem is the smell. The interior of the restaurant smells strongly of mildew (which is a kind of yucky urine smell). We would have... More

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the chateau. Overall the experience was fun the waiters were very patient with the girls trying to communicate. They seemed to realize i wasn't going to help and went along with it. The staff speaks very limited English, so if you don't speak French be ready to point at the menu.

Restaurant is very popular during the lunch hour and therefore quite busy. We were promptly seated and had good service, our sandwich.came with fries and salad. So it was just a basic lunch meal. I have read several comments on restaurants about rude and slow service which for the most part I consider unjustified. This is France and not the... More

My wife and I went to the restaurant on Mothers Day for lunch and sat in the outdoor seating area on the sidewalk. Typically, French atmosphere. Everything was good, the food, the waiter, but the desert was fantastic. We had the Plat du Jour with a desert. The desert was a strawberry tart of some kind which I don't know... More

This was a lovely little café with some very delicious Pátisserie. The service was very good and the waiters both spoke English without giving us the attitude of why didn't I speak French, thats Probably as I, was to busy learning Dutch, English and German as a child and listening to my patents argue in French that I only picked... I lived in Fontainebleau last year for 10 months and frequented this restaurant often. The array of cakes is incredible, and paired with their wonderful hot chocolate it makes a lovely afternoon snack. The restaurant food is also good- my favourite being the salmon with fresh vegetables, though the boeuf bourgignon that I had was also delicious. The location is... More

This restaurant is in Fontainebleau Village and it is as cute as can be. The entire village is. I lived near here as a kid and I was thrilled to be back. The food is really good, the pastries are really good, but they are crazy busy so the service was just a bit slow. Not slow enough to skip... More

Ate a quick lunch after a tour of the Fontainbleau Chateau....food was good and staff was attentive....quiche was nothing extraordinary but the raspberry macaroon dessert with whipped cream and fresh raspberries sandwiched between two oblong raspberry macaroons was delectable to say the least.....I would go back again for the dessert!!!!!!!

Staff could care less about serving tourists and food is mediocre. Clean restrooms.

This cafe is right opposite Fontainebleau Chateau and offers a great selection of patisseries and has a very good, great value, menu for lunches too. We had morning tea and pastries then back again for lunch - couldn't fault it and the staff were very friendly even though it was extremely busy (even in January, lots of locals eat there)
