Set in what appears to be a large family home, this restaurant serves up some excellent food! I had the lamb and it was sumptuous! They cater to couples and to family celebrations or a quite dinner with friends. The atmosphere is a quiet elegance. It made for an excellent end to a day of visiting Châteaux in the Loire... More

Located in a calm area, away from the city center, this restaurant is a place for an elegant evening. We were their on thursday evening, and were the first to come, and did not have the impression of being lonely. It is decorated in traditional way, like a bourgeois house. The food was good and beautiful, the service was nice.... More

We dined outdoors on the wood deck behind the very nice house. The garden is well tended and the ambience is good (despite the owners' young children running around). There is very limited parking, so an early arrival is recommended. Diners have the choice of two menus at 29 and 39 euros respectivel, the latter being markedly better than the... More

From the outside "Le Patton" looks like and old lovely calm house, you do not really imagine a restaurant inside , but it is a real hidden little germ 5 bunch of friends and I went there. The atmosphere is from another time, the decoration is nice , typical french and the service is great. That day we were dressed like... More

We visited on a Friday evening and it was quite busy. There are two dining areas, down and up stairs and as we were late we ended upstairs. The building is splendid and the dining areas are comfortable, clean and elegant. Unfortunately we didn't think the food and service were that special. The main courses were bland and I would... Thus recently opened restaurant is far away from downtown and hence is often overlooked by visitors. However, to me this is one of the best places for French cousine in the city, and not expensive either. The house has a nice private patio in the back for warm months.

I have now experienced several times the delights of the newest addition (opened in October 2010) to Fontainebleau's many & varied restaurants and it is simply the best in town ! Although the " house " setting may surprise, Stephan's grand-parents 19th century house has been beautifully renovated; it is grand, yet intimate, light & airy, with a perfect mixture... More
