Very friendly

While walking the streets of ajaccio and looking for a place to eat we found Da Mamma in a small courtyard. The setting is great, very busy with a buzz. The girl waiting our table was wonderful and who seemed to be the owner was very friendly and helped with the wine. The food is decent and tasty... read more

We ate here after reading recommendations from others. It is a bit tricky to find, being off the main road in a pretty set back courtyard. Although the tables are all very close together, it seemed quite intimate. We have GCSE school level French (from a long time ago) which has served us well in most of France but we... More

My and girlfriend and I had dinner there. after trying for 2 nights as the place was always full and they were refusing customers. They offer a typical Corse menu but also, they have a lot of french and Italian. The food was really good. We took fish soup which was memorable. And the Pasta were really great. We've been... More

We found this restaurant by chance walking down Rue du cardinal fesch in Ajaccio. Beautiful courtyard setting with the option to eat in or out. We were very lucky to get a table as a walk in and would book in advance next time. Service was very friendly and prompt with a wide variety of choices including local dishes. The food... More

My and girlfriend and I had dinner there. They offer a typical Corse menu. The food was really good and varied. The restaurant is located at the end of a small street. A bit pricey, but really worth it!

Da Mama is a quaint place inside a Meat aging building which has been transformed into a really nice place. The food was outstanding and very reasonable. We had lunch and the Lamb shank special was superb. Service was very good and so was the wine. you can't go wrong here. Enjoy!!

This restaurant is hidden down a laneway off the pedestrian shopping area. It has tables both inside and out, to suit all tastes. All of the meals are quite generously sized. The jambon with melon is a classic. The poisson soupe de la maison is smooth, full of flavour and has make-your-own croutons on the side. The steaks are cooked... More

This place is a real find and off the well beaten tourist track, frequented by local people. Definitely recommend the fish salad, consisting of prawns, shrimps, squid, as well as usual vegetable suspects. Excellent and well recommended!

We sat outside, which was lovely, but (no fault of theirs) a nearby customer smoked throughout. We had a fish soup, then a duo of tagliatelle with huge prawns and scallops, and a gorgeous john dory with vanilla sauce. All lovely food, good service and lively atmosphere. It was very busy but we never had to wait long and they... More

We wanted a well recommended restaurant close to our hotel and were not disappointed with Da Mama. Across the street and down an alleyway da Mama provided a good quality meal for a reasonable price. The service was top notch, perhaps the best we experienced in southern France and Corsica and the portions were substantial. We made reservations which proved... More
