Slightly eccentric wine bar with nice food

We turned up on a wet Tueday having seen the menu outside. Quite a lively wine bar, most of the tables were full. Service a little brusque but knowledgable (were were righlty warned off one of the wines as an accompaniment to our cheese course). The menu is short but interesting and good value... read more

We just passed by on our way back to our hotel after a cold beer or two and liked the look of the place. It was a great experience and great food. We chose our wine not from a list but after a discussion and suggestions from our waiter.

This place will transport your senses. The restaurant uses local products and turn it into original dishes. You might want to try the andouillette, typical from Troyes with the label AAAAA (ancestral recipe). The bread and the cheese are excellent, which will completely immerge you in the French culture. The service is social, polite and advises you wines according to... More

Went for dinner as it was recommended by fooding. Had a bottle of Champagne and 2 bottles of wine. The Champagne and bottle of St. Joesph were very good. The other bottle of wine was just so-so. Good was OK, nothing outstanding.

This rickety half-timbered building with wine-barrels outside, eclectic junkshop style furnishings and racks of bottles behind the bar is one of the more seductive looking eateries of Troyes. We thought it would be just the place for a memorable last evening in the city and memorable it was, but for all the wrong reasons. After a while a chalkboard menu... More

A great little wine bar. Lovely atmosphere, obviously fab wines and a knowledgable team to help you choose. We had the house champagne with some great cheese and meats. We also tried the main courses which were tasty but limited in choice and lacked any vegetables. However -Overall a great place if you fancy a glass of wine - a... More

a great place for a quick lunch I had the plat du jour chalked up on the board: paleron, or chuck steak, braised in wine with mashed potatoes and celeriac and a glass of côtes du rhône, all for 13€60. The beef was very tender, moist and tasty. The waiters all seemed a bit harassed but the chef when she... More

Wine shop at the front, leading to a small bustling restaurant at the back. Attentive relaxed service, simple French rustic food, without any gimmicks. Good atmosphere. Wines were superb as you would expect from a wine seller. All reasonably priced. Enjoyed the evening very much. Highly recommend for casual dining

What a great idea, a great wine shop, with some great unusual wines, at very good prices to drink in or out, good genuine French food, and very helpful knowledgeable staff, a classic
