The centre of Troyes is fairly quaint but not many of the eating places appealed to us. A Trip Advisor recommended this restaurant and we checked it out. It is nicely traditional and we liked the look of the menu. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and helpful. The proprietor recommended a wine (call me an cynic... More

Although not open, the staff were quite happy for us to wait the 10 minutes in the dry (it was raining heavily). As we were therefore amongst the first to be served we found the service to be quick, friendly and efficient. We had the €23 menu and found it well cooked and filling. This is a typical local bistro... More

After wandering around during the aftnoon looking at what Troyes had to offer I eventually decided on the Cafe de l'Union. I was the first diner at 7.00pm on this Saturday night in August and after a promising start when I was made to feel most welcome by the pateon who was finishing his own meal i took a seat... More

My companions and I arrived in Troyes late in the evening so we were relieved to find this cafe open just a short walk from our hotel, Les Comtes de Champagne, as we had had a full day visiting Fontainebleau and were tired after the drive to Troyes. The staff was very friendly and seated us after a short wait.... More

This was recommended by the hotel we stayed in. From the outside, it didn't look promising but once inside, the decor and atmosphere was charming and authentically French. Good food, good prices and a mainly local crowd made the place even more of a find. The snails were fab as well as the muscles. The staff don't speak too much... More

Just on the edge of the medievil centre of the town. Ha dnot checked reviews before visiting the town so it was ppure luck that we decided to venture into the cafe . We were there in late Oct maybe towards the end of peak visitor time and enjoyed Troyes enormously. Lovely atmosphere ,frequented by locals and ( adventurous )... More

The food was excellent: the welsh en chablis, the duck and the tiramasu were all to be highly recommended. There was great music playing; the waiter was not only attentive and helpful, but added to the atmosphere by running everywhere and generally being entertaining. It was a fun night and very good value for money.

This a a good place to take lunch , the summer is better with a large patio the speciality is "tete de veau" translated head veal ... But don't be afraid and order one is very good ! The street is a walking street and the parking underground is almost next door . Good French experience

It's sometimes hard to find a truly warm welcome in France but here the Patron is friendly, helpful and serves up good food at a good price. There are 2 large rooms and plenty of space but the feel is cosy and very french. I researched this on www and phoned to book a late meal after a Jacques Dutronc... More
