Worth a try

There is a lot to chose from in Troyes but this place should not be missed. Menu is a little different from most of the run of the mill places and it is not expensive

Stayed in Troyes overnight on way back from skiing and had excellent meal in this small bistro right in the historic centre. Welcoming atmosphere, very good 'menu' and nicely presented with well thought out flavour combinations. Good value too, and friendly and informative service. Really enjoyable!

The ambition of the chef (regional products on the menu, served on fancy rectangular plates decorated with a single chive and a trail of balsamic vinegar) does not match his/her abilities. Avoid 'Le Welsh' [rarebit] at all costs even if you enjoy andouillette. It is served over a soggy, slimy piece of disintegrating bread and covered in congealed processed hamburger... More

Found this lovely little restaurant on an overnight to Troyes. Staff very friendly. Food amazing. Best snails I've had in France! Wine was tasty. We both had a 4 course dinner with a bottle of wine for less than £70. Great atmosphere, full of locals and friendly staff. Wish I lived closer to go more often.

The interesting menu and the modest number of tables appealed to us and we were not disappointed. Really friendly helpful waiter who recommended a complimentary wine that was delicious and reasonably priced. The food was fantastic, we could not have been happier. I would recommend

Very friendly staff - met by smiling chef, waitress also v friendly. Menu dominated by local cuisine - I had andouillette in two courses. A bit much possibly but nicely done. Would recommend.

More exciting than average French cuisine. Best value for money compared to other local restaurants and much more interesting menu.

Just wanted a simple tasty lunch and relaxed atmosphere and that's what we exactly got. Quite good selection of traditional French recipes in a welcoming ambiance with attentive service. Would definitely go back!

We had a lovely evening at Cafe de L'Union. The waiter was really welcoming and friendly, he explained the menu and told us about the local cheeses and meats that were used in the dishes. He told usabout Andoulette sausage which he said was a very aquired taste. I had it for my main course, he was right , it... More
