Superb

Food was great, the waiters were very patient with my crap french, our waiter refused to serve my mother Andouillette which we didn't understand until we googled it, top tip: don't order things from the menu you don't understand. This restaurant has restored my faith that the traditions of the French brasserie are alive and well. We arrived on a freezing cold Monday night but were warmly greeted and almost immediately a fresh from the oven loaf of excellent bread accompanied by artisanal butter and a pot of tomatoey, mediterranean deliciousness arrived. This set the tone and our meal... More

Arrived on our Hotel's recommendation, tired but hungry after a long Drive Cross- Country (we HATE Autoroutes!) and were impressed with the varied Menu. A Cerise Kir slid down beautifully in the warm evening air and our terrace table was beautiful. We avoided the Andouillettes, as a little too Rustique for us, and went for Tête de Veau and the... Surprised to see all the previous negative reviews since we had a different experience. My husband and I went for dinner last week and we loved it! Also the reviewers leaving a poor score for the smell of an andouillette are being ridiculous. It's a tripe sausage so its going to smell!!!! The service was very attentive and friendly and... More

The restaurant was recommended by our hotel (Mercure Troyes Centre) with the encouragement to try the andouilette - "it's the best in town, they make their own". So we went and had our free glass of champagne and when the waiter came for our order we asked for it. He asked if we had tasted it before and when we... More

Huge disappointment. Indifferent food and indifferent staff. Not recommended. Troyes is beautiful. Le Bistroquet is not.

I chose the Gourmand menu for 37 Euro. First was given a glass of champagne free of charge as a recommendation from my hotel, Best Western Hotel de la Poste. And with that bread and tomato mix to make my own brushetta. Several starters, main courses and desserts to choose from. The house duck liver with a glass of nuscadet... More

Recommended by our hotel and when greeted were offered a table for two immediately by the front door. With a chill wind [well...chill for early September] we did not want this and were seated in a lower salon, along with another couple and a large party. However this seemed to have irritated the waiter who removed the free champagne voucher... More

On our stop over on the way to the South of France with our two young daughters, we spent an overnight at the Ibis Hotel in Troyes (pronounced like the number 3 "troi" in French). They recommended a few restaurants including Le Bistroquet - for which they gave us a voucher for a free glass of champagne per adult. We... More
