Monday night not a lot of places open. Probably would not have chosen this place but glad we did. Good food and the place was so atmospheric. Service was top drawer.

We had a late arrival and walked in about 9.30 pm Tuesday night .The brasserie was what I would image as very French Art Deco pieces and beautifully decorated with high ceilings and dark timber surrounds .Very elegant and so were the staff very efficient and obliging menus were in English .recommend the set menus special worth a saving .my... Flo tries and somewhat succeeds to achieve the traditional French brasserie look and menu. Food is overpriced, but can't really be faulted - it's (attempted) standard French fare. Waiting staff vary between helpful and appropriately arrogant for the scene (ours for example refused to serve a steak well done and further refused to serve white wine with cheese, but only... Sadly, our most recent experience was a serious disappointment. The waiter hardly glanced at my wife's Coeliac card, and didn't listen properly to her order. As a result, her steak came accompanied with Pommes Dauphine (which contain choux pastry) and a sauce which the restaurant admitted could also contain "some gluten". When we sent the steak back on the grounds... More

We were six people for lunch in early December. Although we had booked a table it wasn't quite ready, so even though it was a little chilly, we asked to wait on the terrace. I am not sure of his position, but a senior type chap called Frank, was extremely helpful and efficient and looked after us and another party... More

Café Flo epitomises to me a typical French Bistro what with its elegant façade, high ceilinged dining room, linen table clothes and a penguin suited Maître D – and there is nothing wrong with any of this! It could have been very stuffy (and probably would have been had it been located in Paris) but no, we found the ambience... More

It is perhaps not a good test of a restaurant when a party of over 20 is booked and descend on it except it is a test of its efficiency. We were expertly and efficiently dealt with by waiting staff and were not kept waiting. There were a variety of menus ranging from Pretsige €49.50 (4 courses) to a couple... More

We were a large group and nothing was bad everything seemed average. We ate dinner from the 3 course Flo Menu.(There were specials of the day also). Seems to me one should always dine from the more expensive (Prestige) menu available! The building is large and quite interesting, if dull.

We had a lovely meal here on a Sunday night. Shame they had no chateaubriand for my husband but his entrecote was cooked to perfection (their idea of medium rare is more the British idea of rare.. so keep this in mind). My monkfish with little ravioli was truly delicious. The service was excellent and the slightly faded grandeur ambience... More
