Food was very good

Food was very good, so was the service. What else would one need? Yet I somehow don't want to come back. Maybe the minimalists design just did not work for me, or maybe it was the fact that I was tired and wanted to sleep and degustation menu took 3 hours. But this is all very subjective and... read more

We visited the restaurant during an evening in the week and we were both enthusiastic about the experience. We visited several one star restaurants in Belgium, but this one is the best. The food was really at a high level. Although it looked an easy dish, it always suprised us in all it's little details. The service was also great.... More

We initially wanted to have our Michelin lunch at L'assiette Champenoise but got cancelled (please refer to my review posted in tripadvisor). As a result we found another Michelin-starred restaurant and it was a great decision! Le Millenaire has a very comfortable and elegant environment. We were served by staff who spoke fluent English :) The food is superb. Every... More

Everything was how it should be: friendly and correct service, in detail: this was perfect. The food was a true experience: the flavours were really good, great wines and the choice of champagnes is extensive. And a good price/value balance. We had the 4 course menu of 52 euro's and there were several amuses included: especially the amuse bouche with... More

We had lunch with 3 courses a-la-carte. Good range of choices all fairly priced to the generous portion sizes. It was all very consistent with no issues - there just wasn't anything great that stood out with the food. The staff worked well as a team in the full dining room for lunch. We had our 3yo (well behaved today)... More

Good haute cuisine. We had the degustation menu at 95 euro's which offers good value knowing that you are in a Michelin star restaurant. No real surprises, bad or good. Nice champagne list with a high prensation of the major brands, and exceptionel good service. We had dinner on monday evening and the place was full, and we had to... More

One of our best meals in an 8-day mid-October trip to Paris and five other French cities. Dana had the cauliflower and ham soup and I the seared duck foie gras and figs, which were both very, very good. She had the fillet of brill Brenton la plancha, potato and ham bellota with emulsion and sherry vinegar and I had... More

We attempted to get a reservation for either Sat or Sun night on the previous Wed but we should have booked a couple of weeks earlier, as demand is high for this venue. So we managed to get a booking at 12noon on a Mon. The restaurant started to fill up quickly and I was very surprised that there could... More

We visited this restaurant last year in November and was so happy with the experience that we decided to go back this year. However this year was a totally different experience. Although the food can not be faulted, it turned out to be an over all disappointment. We all had the tasting menu which consist of 5 dishes so it... More

listen, we're belgian, we're foodies and we ate at every imagineable kind of michelin star restaurant (1, 2 and 3 star); this place is high up there; service was almost faultless and very attentive, the food was tremendously good (foie cuit, the best I ever ate) and prices are still reasonable for the quality you get; we will return!!
