This is one of the few recommended restaurants in Reims which is open on Monday evenings apart from brasseries which all seem to offer the same menus. L'Eveil du Sens is elegant as is the menu and offers some nice wines by the glass so not necessary to break the bank ordering a bottle. The menu is predominately fish and... More

This is a small restaurant in the centre of Reims. I do not know the city but the architecture of the area shows that it is an area where high-end business and residential properties are to be found. It is definitely away from the main restaurant street. The cuisine puts a lighter touch on French classics. My starter of stuffed... More

Had a lovely evening at this restaurant thanks to Via Michelin that said it was close by. Its is a smallish upmarket restaurant just off the main plaza which expects you to be dressed for dinner. Chef Nicolas Lefèvre gave us a splendid meal, and came out and met all his guest. The lamb and rabbit that we ordered were... More

Being a bit old school, I consulted Michelin and found this restaurant listed as a Bib Gourmand. That was enough for me. The space is small but well appointed and despite being nearly full, it was possible to have a quiet conversation. All of the dishes were excellent: sardine tarte and herring with cheese and eggplant entrees and rabbit and... More

We have just experienced another delightful evening in this modern, unassuming and stunning restaurant. The food was thoughtfully crafted, and each dish was a work of art. The lack of pretension, the excellent wine list and the discrete service made for another memorable evening.

We went to this place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Being a multicultural couple that travels quite a lot and also good (even if not professional) cooks, we have one main requirement when it comes to food: it has to be tasty. Here the price was very high, the atmosphere too formal (we felt really inhibited even to talk) and... More

The bill was a bit of a shock when VAT was added on at the end to the prices in the menu. I wasn't expecting that, a new one for me. Final bill of 135 euros for the 2 of us. It was a nice meal, but not that at that price. Maybe the portions could have been a bit... More

We choose Eveil Des Sens as it was one of the few restaurants in Reims open on a Monday evening in March. A very good choice it was too. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and well balanced flavours with clever use of vegetables. It was nice at the end of the meal to feel that we had eaten very... More

Arrived at the restaurant which was small and empty but quickly filled. Menu was limited but food was excelelnt. Waitress was superb and supplied us details of the champagne producer for one of the champagnes we drank. We visited the vineyard the next day and bought 5 cases of one of the nicest champagnes I have ever drank at one... More

A modern and understated facade hides a modestly sized place delivering an outstanding experience in a city packed with excellent restaurants. A reassuringly short menu features local specialties using fresh ingredients and there is an interesting wine list including of course Champagnes by the glass. The charming lady running front of house couldn't have been more helpful. Prices are very... More
