Excellent, highly recommended

Excellent food, wine, service...! Only spoiled by our poor attempt at speaking French (luckily they spoke English too). Table for 5 at 8.30pm on a Friday. Cheese souffle was incredible, followed by lobster ravioli and an almond pastry dessert... Worked out around €50 per head for 3 courses and... read more

Sadly, the service detracts from the quality of the food. Food was beautiful and portions ample. However we waited 45 mins before our drinks arrived, the starters arrived 45 mins later and dinner was served just over 2 hours after we sat down. We were a party of 8 and the smaller tables were served and finished before we got... More

Had the most fabulous meal here. Lovely summers evening with a midnight blue sky so we sat outside (and ignored the few drops of rain that fell at one point!). We ordered Champagne to start and enjoyed that with some lovely amuse bouche - a herb profiterole and goats cheese in cucumber. There was a long wait for our starter... More

As we arrived we were placed at a table and immediately given amuse-bouche. When I explained that I was dairy intolerant (both amuse-bouche had cream) I was told 'it's a shame'. My salmon starter was swimming in oil but was tasty. My main course of rabbit and chips was average. The chips were soggy. When I mentioned it to the... More

Again the Via Michelin guided us to this place. When we got there, it was 7:30 and empty; we were worried that this may be a mistake. We gently inquired about the menu and were a bit tentative until we spotted the soufflés. That did it. We were going to dine here. And it turned out to be an excellent... More

If I have ever been to a restaurant that may find itself with a Michelin star one day, this is it. It is in a great location with outdoor seating. It is small with excellent service. We have two versions of foie gras - traditional with toasted bread and a seared foie gras with bacon, mushrooms and an egg. Both... More

We enjoyed our time and our palate in this gastronomic restaurant. Concretely speaking: The flatfish with smashed potatoes and pea sauce is delicious. No wonder this dish is pointed out in Michelin official website. EUR 26. For dessert, the soufflé is great, accompanied with a pure grapefruit sorbet and crispy orange confit. Again, recommended by Michelin. The cheese soufflé for... More

After a longish walk in a cold wind we were happy to get to the restaurant which seats a maximum of around 48. Comfortable seats, tables large enough although some may say they are too close together? From start to finish the staff were informative, courteous, friendly, bilingual and happy that my schoolboy French was attempted. The amuse bouche were... More

The food here is really, really good. There were 6 of us & we were raving about it for the next few days. Very inexpensive given the quality. 2x as good as what you get in Paris at half the cost. You could tell they take pride in what they served us. The waiters were very friendly & helpful. We... More

We 've choosed Le Pre Champenois because of good reviews, but were really upset by the visit. 0) Lack of tables for two person - where were two opportunities: right on the passage or just near the bar. 1) Cheating with main dish: we've ordered and paid for the escalopes ris de veau, and were served with ragnon. (20 euro... More
