Enjoyed a great lunch here for 47 euros with house wine. We ordered Gratin potatoes with sausage and Morbiere cheese and Lamb with Lentils. Both came with a salad and dessert. The food was delicious. Excelent quality and quantity, some plates are enough for two people, staff are very nice, unfortunatelly there was no room for dessert.

The food was great. Service was slow, but worth it. The menu was sort of disappointing; as in nothing jumped out at me as "I have to have that"!. However once we ordered we were very pleased. They out did themselves. Large, delicious servings.

I visited this restaurant for lunch with a group of 12 including 10 American students, my wife and myself. This was my second visit to the restaurant and I selected it because it is not the typical tourist stop. The menus are in French and the delightful server speaks limited, but passable English. The French lunch crowd was more than... More

We stumbled on this little restaurant while looking for someplace for lunch before a tour of Veuve Cliquot. Based on reviews as a delicatessen we were hesitant, walked past and then returned because of the limited options in the area. What a gem. This is the quintessential local brasserie. The menu was on a chalkboard clearly indicating that the only... More

While waiting for the Martel champagne tasting room to open after the noon break, we walked to the nearby Au Plat de Jour for lunch. We were seated by the waitress who knew about as much English as we knew French. We decide on the Focaccia et Jambon which I thought may be ham sandwiches. Close. It was the makings... More

Based on Trip Advisor reviews we were excited to find a genuine French restaurant in bourgeouis Reims. - Situated in a quiet and suburbian area, it looked un-pretentious from the outside. Inside was cosy, but with posters with lots of racing-cars on the walls. Very clean and proper. A nice place to dine. The menue of the day was miniscule,... More

So glad we found this place after our tasting at Tattinger. Had the duck pate and pork with Carmel sauce which were excellent! I would recommend his family restaurant if you want home cooked French food.

Maybe you remember the days when cosy, unassuming restaurants offering fantastic value seemed to beckon on every other corner and in every tiny hamlet in France? Times have changed, but our romantic memories live on and, if you are like me, you still keep looking. Well, this little family-run establishment in an as-yet unfashionable part of town is a defiant... More

Definitely not a fashionable place, this small restaurant is very traditional, that kind of place with no ranting name that you may find in every town but where you need the luck to enter by chance or to receive the right suggestion to visit. Good food, everything home made and with fresh ingredients (therefore the menu changes daily - and... More
