The best meal we had in Champagne.

We went there as a causality, looking for a place to have lunch. We were luck enough to find a table without a reservation, but I would strongly recommend to make reservations (it was very crowded in fact). An interesting ambience, a well constructed menu and wine list and well performed foie grass and t bone steak. You need reservation and if you are 4 ask for the round table close to the chimney

Third time visit during annual trip in the Champagne region. Best Restaurant in Epernay itself. Very good wine list at an excellent price. Warm welcome by the maitre. Nice explanation of dishes. Very good deserts and an impressive choice of cheeses.

A must when traveling to Epernay. A reservation is required so try and make it in advance. Amazing from start to finish. The entire service team, particularly the owners, were gracious, kind and anticipated our every need. We will definitely go back for more of Christophe Bernard thoughtful and beautifully executed cuisine.

We arrived at La Grillade without a reservation and were lucky to have been given a table. The restaurant had a warm ambience and a cosy fireplace. The list of champagne available is huge and bewildering but the sommelier explained the varieties allowing us to choose the kind of grapes that we liked. It was served in a lovely silver... More

We chose to eat here from Tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed. The welcome , ambiance, service and food were fantastic. It was so good we asked to come back the following night! The owners are lovely. They really care that you have a great experience. The atmosphere created by the wood fire is wonderful on a cold November night... More

I cannot resist this time, I want to add my contribution to this perfect place to stop and dine, either with friends, family, or by yourselves on business. The first time I went to this restaurant, I ate by my eyes, as I was cold and sick, with very little chance to pick tastes and flavours up. But yesterday I... More

This is one of my favorite in the champagne region. Chef Christophe is an ex multi michelin star chef now owner. He's kept the classics of this old establishment and added some modernity. But no compromise on the quality. Try the open fire grilled steaks or fish. Last time I had the signature pigeon en croute with foie gras. Magnifique... More

Greeted by the chef. Excellent and novel wine list (labels in the book). Food quality was exceptional and very good value for the quality. I'm surprised this place does not yet have a Michelin star.

Can't believe we were lucky enough to get a table without a booking so thanks to whoever cancelled at the last minute. We had the three course menu and came away thinking it was so much better than some of the Michelin starred restaurants we've been to. Service was amazing, we loved that chef came and introduced himself. Highly recommend... More
