We have just returned from a superb meal at Least Laurenty. We had the 3 course Plat du Hours for just over 25 Euros, fantastic food and fantastic value. Don't expect to be and out in a rush. We were there for a leisurely 2 hours, very pleasant way to dine. Boy, do the staff work hard. There was... read more

After having our meal with friends, watched on by our happy, smiling waitress, we divided the bill. Unfortunately we misread the figures and overpaid. Neither the waitress or the manager bothered to tell us. So our meal was certainly not worth the money we spent. It's disappointing when an honest tourist who is happy to leave a tip, gets ripped... Having checked in to Le Grand Hotel, we ventured out to find a restaurant for dinner and selected Le Laurenty on the basis of its menu and the number of diners already eating. It turned out to be a good choice. We had the Menu Decouverte with a half bottle of Pouilly Fume and a Pression. The meal was delicious... More

We had a stopover in Tours and decided to head into town for a meal. We chose Laurenty as they had a lovely outdoor area. The food was good and the beef we had was superb. The warm lobster salad was a little strange and would probably be better cold. The only criticism was that there were no main salad... More

We did not know the Laurenty but I had spotted the street as an interesting one during an earlier walk. We liked the menu and decided to give it a try. Even though we had no reservation on a Saturday evening, we arrived early and were warmly welcome. We chose the two-course menu (entree and plat principal) then everything was... More

It had been suggested we try Le Petit Patriomone but it was closed on Tuesday, so our great host at La Maison Jules B & B (see review) recommended Le Laurenty. She called and booked us a reservation. The place is fairly small, maybe 40 covers. But the food is BIG. Reasonably priced, well prepared. It was the best food... More

Food was very good, but the service was very slow and inattentive. The restaurant is a bit crammed and generally lacks in the ambiance.

Le Laurenty is fine dining at its best. The traditional French cuisine offered at reasonable prices in a cozy yet elegant atmosphere conjures up the best that French cooking has to offer. The attentive, cordial, and helpful service provided by our server Alba and by the owner Laurent truly made this dining experience the best of our two week trip... More

Quite simply two of the best meals I have ever eaten! My wife and I came across this restaurant by chance on Oct 31 and returned with my son on Nov 1. Both set menus have an excellent selection of interesting dishes and English is spoken well if any explanations or recommendations are needed. I started with lobster on the... More

This is a great little restaurant. Well located in central Tours. The owner Laurent is extremely personable and the food is outstanding and very reasonably priced. We ate at a couple of Michelin Star restaurants during a recent 2 week visit to France and the meals we ate at Le Laurenty blew them away - not even close.
