La Roche le Roy is the place to go if you want to have an excellent view of what French Gastronomy is ! The staff is adorable, the place is a delight (a Touraine Manor), and the food is an amazement. One of the three "one star restaurant" in Tours.

A friend recommended this restaurant before our trip, and we booked long in advance. So it was with great anticipation that we arrived for the meal, and we weren't disappointed. It was one of the more special meals any of us have had. Unlike our other Michelin-rated meal on this trip, the service was superb. We actually arrived (accidentally) 30... More

We visited this restaurant for the third time earlier on this month - this time for a special birthday meal with our children. We were very well looked after and ate some truly exquisite food, all courses were perfectly executed. We were recommended the perfect wine to match our food and professionalism was maintained at all times. We thoroughly recommend... More

We like it. It's a nice little restaurant. Feels cozy, but not the exquisite or romantic type. Tables packed slightly close to each other, thus not feeling private enough. Staff are helpful, but seem in a rush and want to get things done quickly instead of delicately, eg wine dripped outside the glass when they poured it, etc. Oysters were... More

Among some one star Michelin restaurants, this shall be the top one worthwhile to visit. The waiters provide excellent service. Although we cannot speak French, they can speak English very well. The environment is graceful and decent for a nice dinner there with your love ones or great friends. The wine is awesome as well.

My wife and I had dinner here during our latest trip and absolutely loved it. We put ourselves in the hands of our server to choose our meal and wine and were not disappointed. Both the food and service were superb!

This is a fancy, beautiful, well organized parade of delicious food! Our waiter was so nice and tried to help whenever possible even though our French is atrocious and his English was poor. Exceptionally friendly and warm staff even though clearly an upscale place. The food was delicious and the wine was wonderful!

My wife and I visited on May 16th as to celebrate my birthday and my wife has put on a separate review with details of details of what we ate headed, “Lived up to its reputation!” but I just wanted to add my own opinion too. La Roche le Roy is in a lovely old building, what I would describe... More

We had a wonderful meal here which lived up to this restaurants reputation both on Trip Advisor and having a Michelin star. The environment is very pretty, the restaurant is situated in a lovely big house, with very pretty gardens and grounds, although nearby 2 busy roads and a busy junction. We were made very welcome and offered aperitifs and... More

We had dinner at LRLR on a recent trip to France, and we would rate this restaurant as one of the dining highlights of our nearly 3 weeks there. Warm and friendly service, superb 2 star food and excellent wines - an exquisite Savennieres with our pike fish course and Bourgueil with our lamb...we were in heaven. A wonderful evening,... More
