This was the fourth time that we have taken friends to this charming and intimate place in the shadow of the great cathedral of Tours. Here you will find the genuine French restaurant that we all dream about. A passionate chef proprietor and his courteous wife who make you feel at home in this gastronomiic treasure. On this occaison there... More

Le Saint Honore might be able to seat 16 people. Benoit, the chef and proprietor, personally waited on us and explained all the food. Our innkeeper from La Maison Jules said that he is also a hunter and a fisher and grows his own vegetables. We started with a beautiful appetizer tray, with cheeses (a Parmesan lollipop) and olives and... More

We have lived in Tours for some months and this was one of the best restaurants we have gone. The bread, the main course and the desert (tarte fine) were really delicious.

Found this place through chowhound. It was awesome in so many ways: excellent ingredients, attentive service, good value with their set menu, and above all, it was full of locals. Amazing cheese course. Good wine selection. Al so glad it was more casually dressed crowd since we were on vacation. So glad we trekked here tonight.

We are on a w/e visit to Tours from Paris where we live and as we don't know Tours well we asked our B&B hostess for a suggestion and she certainly came up trumps ! This restaurant is in a slightly out of the way spot behind the Cathedral St Gatien but well well worth seeking out . Make a... More

Family operated french cuisine. Very helpful explaining menu. We had chatubriand for two; local dessert that looked like french toast, but was terrific with sorbet on side.

All I can say is "wow, what an unexpected surprise"! This restaurant was recommended by our B&B host and she told us this was her favorite in Tours. She was absolutely spot on. The restaurant is small but the tables are positioned so that everyone has plenty of room and can have a conversation without interfering with others. It is... More

Just been here & must thoroughly recommend the food, service & ambience to anyone who values proper french cooking. Flavours to die for, efficient yet unobtrusive service, really good wines at reasonable prices (inc half bottles) & those little extras that make all the difference. The set menu at €27 was superb value. Avoid the tourist traps & go here.... More

There is not a single negative thing I can say about our wonderful dinner here. Although the restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, inside was a different story. The welcome was warm and friendly, the service excellent, the atmosphere was intimate and above all the food was delicious. It was our first night in the Loire region, and... More
