After finding this place on TA, I had reasonable expectations. After walking into the restaurant, I had high expectations - the setting was very homely yet refined with a clear passion for wine on display. I got excited. However - the service left us feeling a bit cold and unwelcome. Perhaps it was the language barrier (our French is poor... More

My husband and I asked the hotel to make a reservation for us a few days prior. It was a Friday night and quickly filled up with, what seemed like, mainly locals. Cosy restaurant with a warm ambience. One of my favourite meals in France - included an amazing bread and butter pudding dessert! Pretty good value too.

Well hidden in old Tours, on a small, charming square St Honoré is a delicious French cuisine restaurant, with perfectly prepared dishes and good wine-lists the chef is present in the kitchen but also coming to the guests, while his wife is running front of the house. Great regional --and beyond-- cuisine and very nice desserts. Superb find, especially if... More

Used trip advisor to identify a restaurant in tour on the way back from Chennonceau. So happy we picked this place, fantastic food (tour pate en croute starter with fois gras and vouvray jelly, lamb chops cooked to perfection and an apricot sable to finish!) fantastic wine at great value, surroundings were charming, a real find! I recommend and would... More

On this occaison there... More

Le Saint Honore might be able to seat 16 people. Benoit, the chef and proprietor, personally waited on us and explained all the food. Our innkeeper from La Maison Jules said that he is also a hunter and a fisher and grows his own vegetables. We started with a beautiful appetizer tray, with cheeses (a Parmesan lollipop) and olives and... More

We have lived in Tours for some months and this was one of the best restaurants we have gone. The bread, the main course and the desert (tarte fine) were really delicious.

Found this place through chowhound. It was awesome in so many ways: excellent ingredients, attentive service, good value with their set menu, and above all, it was full of locals. Amazing cheese course. Good wine selection. Al so glad it was more casually dressed crowd since we were on vacation. So glad we trekked here tonight.
