Unusual mix - French with a Japanese twist

The quality of food and service was excellent. I enjoyed the food but it was not really Japanese but for Yuzu and shitaki mushrooms. I had langoustines which were expertly cooked and a steak that melted in your mouth. Very Good.

La Theleme is a first class find very close to the main train station and the Mercure hotel - who recommended it to us the first time. This was our second visit here for dinner (the first time, last year), and it remains excellent quality and value. €30 fixed price menu for three courses, plus house wines at sensible prices... I've avoided this place before as it seems a bit pricey and a little pretentious. However, I spotted their midi lunchtime deal and had an excellent dinner with wine for 21.50 euro. My main course was a very nice fish dish, beautifully-cooked. I had to wait a while because it was busy, but it was well worth the wait.

This is a lovely restaurant in an area away from the main restaurant hub. We chose the cheaper option of 2 courses each for $26 euro each, and it was excellent! We still enjoyed plump scallops, beautiful salmon carpaccio with sorbet, then duck and fish which were good portion sizes with well balanced flavours. Complimentary nibble starters and bread, plus... Found this restaurant by chance near to the station in Tours. The service and food were exceptionally good, with the staff being more than friendly. Lovely décor and atmosphere, we'll be back when in Tours again!

The owner of the suites we were staying at recommended this restaurant, and it was a really pleasant experience. Definitely the best meal we had in Tours, with friendly, attentive staff and a great layout (we weren't sitting on top of anybody). Safe bet for a good and reasonably priced meal.

We selected le Theleme from previous reviews and weren't disappointed! This is a very pleasant family run restaurant in which we received a warm welcome. The food was out of this world, local high quality produce was used, the staff friendly and attentive, the decor tasteful. We would highly recommend this restaurant. We actually enjoyed it so much that we... More

Was recommended this restaurant by our hotel after a poor experience in Tours the previous evening. The restaurant is set out almost like theatre stalls which makes for nice dining areas. Wide choice of food and an excellent wine list and attentive service.

We dined here July 2014 and enjoyed every moment of it. Whilst the staff struggled with English, we all made it in the end. The food was excellent as was the wine. The staff were attentive and the owner was extremely friendly. We would go back there anytime. What more can i say?
