Such a great experience of the French cuisine

Perfect service, very attentive team, delicious Menu Gourmande and a special selection of French wine for the Cartede Vind. Loved the experience!

From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were treated to a warm welcome and excellent service. The nine course menu designed by Chef Hervé Lussault and Patron Jack Magord was sublime: beautiful ingredients perfectly cooked and artistically presented. The young team were attentive but not intrusive and the excellent cuisine was matched by the professional service.

It is all said in the title, there is nothing to add: From appetizer to dessert - all courses were equally delicious as beautifully prepared. Every course was another highlight (we had pigeon and st peter fish as main courses, I had foie gras as appetizer, and souffle as dessert). We sat outside at the tastefully arranged terrasse - very... More

We enjoyed our experience so much at Bistrot de la trench (sister restaurant) that we changed our dining plans to dine here. Elegant setting....food, wine and service to match. All top notch. Our guests also appreciated the chef coming out to see us and ask about our experience. Our cannelloni of oxtail was tender, the fish, cooked to perfection and... More

I had a dinner at the end of August 2015 with my wife and we had a table outside in the veranda. Very pleasant night with a little bit of fresh wind after a day at 30 degrees. We had pidgeon with foie gras truffe and a lot of side such as steamed vegetables, dates and peach compote. Really oustanding.... More

We were in the Loire Valley as a pre-cruise event of a Viking River Cruise around Bordeaux. We had a two-evening stay at a resort in Tours, and Restaurant Charles Barrier was highly recommended for a first-class dining experience. I couldn't agree more! Note that we went to the restaurant itself - they also have a bistro which was booked... More

We ate in the restaurant not the brasserie. First class service and wonderful food. Menu choice was good and the wine list extensive and at all prices. Pricey but worth it.

Wonderful place for a business dinner, plush dining room overlooking the garden I had been here last time in 2002 quite a while ago but I remember it to be one of the top restaurant in France, only this time I felt the menu gourmand lacked consistency, while the service was excellent and refined up to the serving of the... We dined here recently for our anniversary, and the entire staff made it most enjoyable. Each dish (and there were many) was presented beautifully. Pre-starter dishes and pre-dessert desserts, including a special one for our celebration, rounded out a terrific meal. The atmosphere and decor add to one's delightful experience.
