Our first night in Tours we asked a taxi driver where was a good place to eat. Immediately he recommended this family run restaurant in a back street. Was soon full and was obviously going to be good. The food was really very enjoyable and the staff the best. Nothing was too much trouble. A great evening.

On the last evening of our ten days in Tours we were fortunate enough to find La Famille by Bardet. The menu was enticing and the offer of an English translation and the modern interior enticed us in. The young lady who took our order translated the menu item by item and we made our choices from the plat du... More

This little gem is tucked in an alley in old Tours. We had a lovely chat with one of the owners, who translated the menu for us. The portions were perfect and the courses were perfectly paced. The chef has a great imagination for combinations and presentation. It was our favorite restaurant experience in the Loire Valley.

After a long day of chateaux sight-seeing, we were so lucky to find this restaurant. The food was fantastic. One high light was an appetizer of avacado puree, sea bass tartar, and topped with a carpaccio of sea bass. Desserts were excellent especially the perfectly cooked meringue filled with strawberry mousse. The couple that runs it are very friendly. We... More

It was a pleasure to discover this restaurant in Tours run by a charming couple (Alice and Olivier). Warm atmosphere, trendy decoration. The food is very fresh, inventive and excellent. A real keeper.

We dined at this restaurant during a day trip to Tours. We chose the restaurant as it was child friendly and we had our 19 month old daughter with us. Our lunch was really really good. Both my wife and I had the Lobster main course and both thought that it was one of the best seafood dishes that we... More

What a wonderful find! We were in Tours for three days and found this lovely restaurant in the medieval part of the town. The rooms have a modern interior and a delightful hostess who translated the whole menu to us. As there were two of us we chose from the al a carte and the fixed menu. All the dishes... More

Roaming around tours in search of history, ambience and lovely food in a lovely setting we saw a blackboard and planter box in a side alley off the main pedestrian area. We were welcomed by lovely people who were happy to help us plan our meal, our wine selection and our visit to chateaux Ambiose.

I arrived with my 6 year old daughter for dinner after a long drive from Calais. There is no english menu but the waitress was only too happy to explain it all in english. I had spider crab followed by sole with langoustine and girolle mushrooms - 1st course pretty good but expensive at 22 euro`s but the main was... More

We have tried to go to this restaurant before but it was always shut for holidays etc. Having walked past the myriad of restaurants that you find in Tours, we took another chance to see if it was open and it was. I'm so glad we persevered! The restaurant is in a 15th century building in the old part of... More
