Good food, fun atmosphere, friendly staff & not too pricey. Also the decor is kitchy & very French. It's situated right by the main square (Place Plumereau). What's not to like?

That's a really good good and original way to discover the traditionnal French crepe with a rock'n'roll touch :) You can see in the decoration of the restaurant which represents every parts of a house (dining room, garden, bathroom or bedroom etc.) but also with each meals :) Meals are various and delicious :) I recommand you this fabulous restaurant,... Mamie Bigoude is a pun on 'Bigoudin', traditional lace headgear worn by Breton women, hence the numerous artistic references in the restaurant showing women with tall, lace, headdresses. Pancakes and cider are the basic fare served here. It's quite reasonably priced so you can take all the family. The waiters and waitresses were charming and attentive. We ate in the... More

This restaurant will tickle your funny bone and soothe your spirits. It is laid out on two floors, done up like an early 20th century home and furnished with period pieces and bizarre trimmings,. You may be seated in a wardrobe, in the breakfast nook, the maid's quarters or the bedroom, but around you there will be something to amuse,... More

First of all, I was amazed by the decorations, after being to many restaurants in Tours, this is one of the most unique and stylish restaurant. The service was excellent throughout the night and we had petit fondue and crepe which taste really good! Highly recommended!

Great french take on american style of dining, the food was good, I had a platter with cured meats, cheese and bread and my friend got the crepes. Outstanding was the dessert crepes, very rich options on the menu, I went for cream, ice cream, lots of chocolate, it was delicious. The staff were nice and friendly, I believe they... More

The setting is just amazing, the restaurant is decorated like a french home from back in the '50s, with very odd features such eating in a bathroom or a bedroom... Very original ! Service is pretty gold and the food is great for such a kind of "crêperie", a great venue for families and friends.

The same as the previous review we came across this little gem by chance. It is a lovely out of the ordinary place, like nothing I've ever been to before. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and the food was delicious. I loved the extraordinary décor. Everywhere you turn brings a smile to your face. We had lunch there... More
