Lovely traditional restaurant

We went to the restaurant on a day trip as part of a two week holiday in the region. The owner and his staff were simply lovely. The starter of ravioli with smoked salmon was sensational. A lovely traditional French restaurant with a warm welcome.

I went looking for restaurants in vieux Tours was somehwhat underwhelmed by some I saw right in at the centre so went back to look at a few round les Halles and finally settled on this one. It has all the dishes I like and there were several obviously local people there. Good choice. It's not adventurous but it is... More

One of the best meals I have had in ages. Tender, tasty, local white asparagus(was there in full season in May), a succulent blanquette de veau like one's grandmother made. Simple but perfectly prepared food. The service was utterly charming and efficient. The restaurant was full, and full of French locals, a good sign as soon as we walked in,... More

Was able to book a table on a busy Saturday night. The amuse bouche of sausage and potatoes was a great harbinger of things to come. Ravioles with canard were superb, as was the following maigrait de canard. The wine list was more than adequate and we had a delicious Loire vin rouge. Desert was equally fine. Everyone was friendly... More

Very friendly place with the most wonderful local food. Amuse-Bouches with the aperitif, then excellent meat dishes and very french, very traditional and yummy choices. If you have a birthday they do the most spectacular indoor fireworks!

In Tours for a business lunch, it would be hard to beat Les Saveurs for traditional food, well prepared, at a very fair price. The restaurant benefits from being located just across from the excellent food market (Les Halles), from where it accesses most of its produce. The menu changes daily, depending on what's in season: for example asparagus, salad... More

Tours is a lovely city and there is no shortage of restaurants. Just our luck to find a good one acros the road from the covered market. Th food was fresh and very well prepared. Professional and friendly service. Staff were able to speak English which certainly helped with our poor French and to get expalnations of the menu. Very... More

This is not the best restaurant I've seen, but most of my boxes were ticked off during our visit. The "accueil" was great. Our friendly maitre d' made everything easy and enjoyable, and his friendly smile was always there while we were there. Service was great, and Gordon Ramsay would have nothing to do here. Everything was co-ordinated to perfection,... More

The best raviolo ever eaten outside of Italy is at Les Saveurs. Value meal for under €30 within the cosy feeling of a paris bistro Les Saveurs offers value for money. Great steak perfectly cooked, but the raviolo (starter) with duck and foie gras is to die for.
