Stumbled upon this place on a walk through town and am very glad we did. We ordered the main and dessert combo for around 20 euro each. The 7 hour lakb is tender and delicious and the steak with goats cheese was really tasty, accompanied by a generous amount of nice bread. Very busy and the poor waiter was doing... More

The food was very disappointing given the price - 30 euros for starter, meal and dessert. The starter was a good attempt but the items were mismatched. Crab in what appeared to be mayo with avocado and Granny Smith apples. It just didn't go. This was followed by a steak which was not well cut, was very fatty and was... More

We dinned here tonight premise of local produce being served. We were not disappointed. We had the three course menu couple with a nice bottle of wine. Great food coupled with very friendly service. You could pay a great deal more for a restaurant meal in Tours. However, this was just prefect for the price. Would recommend.

We enjoyed a set menu 3 course meal with a bottle of very good vouvray wine. Started included homemade terrines and poached eggs in the jus of 7 hour roasted lamb. The mains were fantastic, I had Rabbit, with my wife choosing Veal, both were cooked to perfection and presented very nicely. Dessert was simple classic stuff, I had a... More

In studying Le Turon's well thought out menu featuring fresh, local products, we were inspired to choose this restaurant for dinner. We were warmly greeted and seated immediately. Our waiter was very friendly and professional. We ordered the duck filet with roasted potatoes and poached pears which was cooked to perfection and delicious. For dessert we picked their strawberry and... More

We had two great meals at this little restaurant. Reasonably priced well cooked food, sensible portions, pretty good service. Would have no hesitation recommending it for a nice meal out.

This is a pleasant restaurant, with reasonable cost for the area, but uninspired food. The quantity of food was adequate but not excessive. We found better restaurants in the same area and in the same price range. I had the rabbit, which was flavorful but a bit tough.

Le Turon is in Rue Colbert which locals identify as the less-touristy food area in the old city. Amidst the Lebanese and Japanese and Indian outlets, this is an excellent home for French food. The selections are not wide, but clever like cod with chorizo. The restaurant itself is very pleasant, the service very good and the wine list both... More

The magret de canard was perfect! The service was great, very nice staff. Nothing to complain about.

There are many similar offerings in Tours and reading the reviews on TA you might wonder why they don't have Michelin stars. Answer is because the food is actually not all that special. To be honest I would expect to find food of similar or better quality in most towns in England. Anyway this place is pleasant enough. I had... More
