We were spending the weekend in London and staying in Marylebone and came across this little gem. We had a light Sunday lunch which was delicious. My husband had the Beef Bourignon and said it was fabulous. The service was great and the wine excellent. The atmosphere was both friendly and relaxed. We often holiday in France and this place... For the price on the menu, its not very expensive and the quality of the food is worth trying. On top of that the service was pretty good :)

This restaurant must be one of the best for value in Tours, The standard of the food is superb with lots of choice, and the service with one serving and one cooking has to be seen to be believed! Started with a selection of different cuts of Pork and then a very good blue steak followed by Profiteroles, Washed down... More

Out of all the restaurants in Tours town centre, it's the best I've found. Good, polite, quick service and a varied regional menu by a good chef. Must try the nougart and speculos dessert!

It was very difficult to choose where to eat. There are SO many restaurants in the old part of town, but we chose this based on other reviews. There was only one server, but the service was was good and very helpful. All of our meals were excellent from appetizer to dessert. The server helped us with pairing local wines... More

We were on a 3 day visit to Tours, my husband and I and 2 friends, we called on spec at this restaurant which accepts diners until 9pm and the very pleasant joint lady owner showed us to a table. We enjoyed an excellent 3 course meal for 17 euros each which we thought was excellent value. If you go... More

Last year my wife & I spent 5 weeks eating our way round Europe, as you do when holidaying. With out doubt Le Vieux Comptoir was our best experience. A study in efficiency Sandrine runs the restaurant & Bar whilst Yann runs the kitchen, no other help for a 30+ seat restaurant... how do they do that? We arrived 30mins... More
