Enjoyed the food, fois gras plus magret canard with strawberry tartlette. However wait staff were more interested in flirting with each other rather than serving. Totally confused them I was a solo diner. Need to get some manners, treated couple next to me better even though they ordered only 1 course! Won't go back!

Nice choice of food. Not very expensive. Outside the center of town but near our hotel and on a tram line. I had difficulty in communicating in English with our waiter but OK with my poor French and help from another waiter.

This restaurant still produces excellent food and the menu is great value for money but I feel that they may be trying too hard and its not quite as it was in years past. Still recommended though.

We chose this restaurant because it was within walking distance of our hotel and they were able to make reservations for us. We were seated promptly upon arrival and had a lovely meal. We went with their wine recommendations for a local wine and were very happy with their suggestion. Each of us chose different entrees and mains and traded... More

When visiting a city we usually eat lunch in the centre. This time I consulted Trip advisor and found the Bistro on the outskirts of Tours. When I phoned to make the reservation, the member of staff informed me that as it was holiday time, they were only serving a special limited menu 'Estival' at 25 euros. As it was... More

We often eat at Trip Advisor recommended restaurants, and usually they meet expectations.....this one is an exception....in my opinion good looking, relatively tasteless food! This restaurant was close to our hotel and we were undecided whether to eat there or at the Bistro...we chose the Bistro and wish we had stayed at the hotel. The food, I thought, was distinctly... The Bistro is the little brother of the Restaurant Barrier. Very good cuisine at a very reasonable price.
