Thought we'd try out this restaurant as it was recommended in one of our travel guides. Glad we did - not as you might expect in the old quarter but easy to find location near to the station. Chose the 3 course option - every course was beautifully presented. Lobster starter was v good, my husband's fish of the day... More

like many of top rated restaurants in Tours, it's near the train station - so unprepossessing surrounding but once you are in, everything picks up. perfect service, and innovative tasty food - perhaps pricey - but the langoustine starter and the fish we had afterwards were perfectly cooked and accompanied by appropriate and enhancing sauces - never too heavy either;... We received a very warm welcome from the chef/prop and staff. The service was attentive without being intrusive with the preparation and source of each plat explained - and most importantly the food was superb. We opted for the set menu and added an extra cheese course which the chef served taking time to explain the origin of each of... More

My wife and I and another couple went to France for a gastronomical holiday. In Tours, as recommended by our hotel, we went to L'Odeon for dinner and were amazed at the unbelievable quality of the service and food and the reasonable prices. The appetizers were to die for and the main courses were simply succulent. We had a variety... More

This place is way over priced for the quality of the food. We were there in mid June 2015. Maybe the high ratings are from an earlier management, but it was a big disappointment. The wait staff was very strange and did not make us feel welcome. My lamb was not prepared in their kitchen, except to defrost a prepared... More

Ridiculously overpriced for what is offered. Wines in particular, ordinary at ridiculous prices. Young inexperienced staff. Not surprisingly restaurant empty except for 4 Asiatics withe a noisy baby. W recommends avoid.

I went here because I wanted something near my hotel, and reviews were fine. Food was really correct, however I feel 50 € a bit much for a 2 course dinner with a carafe wine (for 1 person). But my biggest problem was the lack of good atmosphere. We had a young guy, who seemed to be a trainee, and... More

When I asked my hotel how to get to this restaurant, his immediately response was "oh, a very good restaurant". We were not disappointed! It was located next to train station, very nice ambience and decoration. We ordered set dinner with 3 courses, starters were seafood (lobsters and shell fish, all good but I would recommend lobster) and main courses... More

We had two excellent meals here. It is "posh" inside and we got both an amuse-bouche pre-meal and a little Black Forest gateau afterwards. The young waitresses were very formal and clearly been trained to be so.I thought it was expensive but the quality of food was first-class. It appears to cater for tourists rather than local people, but avoids being... More
