An okay place to eat.

Decent food, if a little overpriced. Enjoyed the steak with marchand du vin sauce. Don't bother with bottled wine, just order a carafe - cheaper and just as good.

Good value meal. Wide choice between crepes and full meals. Cobbled area, nice and cool in very hot weather.

We were, so we gave this place a try for lunch. It was a fine May day so we took the outside option, and perused the menus. We chose from the array of galettes, savoury pancakes for the non-French speaking. Mrs R went fishy, with an assortment of seafood in a cider and cream sauce, which she claimed was very... More

This restaurant is conveniently located on the main pedestrian street in Loches. We had not reserved a table but could see that whilst the pavement tables were full there were a number of spare tables inside. We asked the maitre d' if there was a table available for four people (2 adults and 2 teenagers) and even though there were... More

this not-too-expensive restaurant on the main street of the historic area has basic crêpes and other dishes. Early in the evening it is not too crowded, but later on they are understaffed for the number of tables. I will say that they have toys for the kids when the waiting is long.

No more than so-so for what one pays. Hard to find a decent restaurant in Loches.

If you're after a good, basic grill or pancake then I would recommend this restaurant. We went there on my son's birthday. The staff picked up on this and served him with a birthday pancake complete with candle, which we thought was a lovely touch. They had already provided a toy, a highchair and a kindly word for my grandson.... More

This place has become a tradition for us since before it was called Le Gwendo (used to be La Cordelieres). We arrive in Le Havre early morning and set off to arrive in Loches for lunch at Le Gwendo. If the weather is fine make sure you get a table outside as it is a great place for people watching.... More

The restaurant was pretty busy on a Wednesday--they were actually turning people away. That could be because not many other places were open or maybe it has a good reputation? In any case, the place wasn't fancy but the food was good and not too expensive. I'd go back again if I were ever in the area. Also they were... More
