Delightful food delicious wine! Well worth the top spot. The staff spoke great English and were very knowledgeable. We would go again.

Perfect, simple setting in a lovely town. Understated, but wonderful. A real jewel. Husband and wife team working incredibly hard, tiny kitchen, delicious food. She cooks (brilliantly) he waits (charmingly) and the result is worth the trip. Trip Advisor says 'don't eat upstairs' probably right, but if you can book downstairs, you have to go.

A group dinner here was such a wonderful experience. The food is excellent and beautifully plated. Equally, if not more so, as impressive is the chef, who is in the kitchen alone doing all of the work (including washing the dishes!) while her husband and co-owner runs the front of the house alone as well. Their coordination and timing is... More

Unassuming and with a simple menu however the food is superb and beautifully presented. Everything on the plate tastes delicious. The food is all the more amazing as it is cooked by the co-owner who works alone in a very small kitchen in full view of diners. Witnessing her work is like watching a ballet - her work rate, precision... More

We are sooooo happy we stumbled upon this place! Prices are reasonable. Simple menus, yet your mind is blown when the food tastes your lips. We had an asparagus dish to begin with that was epic. The veal and potatoes were so moist, cooked perfectly. The poached pear topped with pop-rock candy we thought was brilliant and added a wonderful... More

Lucky we have pre-searched a restaurant in Chinon to find this one because it is small and inconspicuous and you would not imagine there is such a brilliant cook working in that small kitchen. We have ordered the menu (29 Euro) which was a great choice. The Foie Gras for starters was delicious with a great small Brioche bun alongside... More

Delicious meal from the young couple best we've had in Chinon at a very reasonable price. Very nice local wine list.

We booked a table well in advance for a mid week Wednesday evening meal. Good job we did. It was just "Superb". The food, although a limited menu was fabulous. The beetroot ensemble starter was a work of art both visually and in taste. The Fois Gras exceptional. After having read all the other reviews and comments what is vitally... More

We have visited this restaurant previously for dinner, but this time enjoyed lunch. The interior decor of the restaurant is very attractive, as is the presentation of the menus, and we were welcomed by the patrons. The service is excellent - just the right pace, not too intrusive, with a helpful suggestion as to which wine we might order, which... More

Excellent cooking all done by Virginie - original, beautifully executed, nothing but praise. It's a business at the start of its career and it shows: upstairs dining room a bit Spartan, husband and wife running it without help despite which service v friendly and attentive. Give it a bit longer and one or two more staff and it could be... More
