Pleasant Lunch of Quality

Delightful location for quality lunch if you are visiting the Chateau in the morning or afternoon. The service was friendly and professional and dealt with English language and allergy issues well. The fixed menu food was interesting and had three choices in entree, mains and dessert. The... read more

My wife and I ate here with our kids (age 8 and 10) during our visit to Chateau Chenonceaux. We had made reservations prior to our visit. We ate outside and when it started to rain, they lowered the tent-like walls automatically to shield us from the rain. When the rain cleared, up they went. Service was attentive and friendly.... Really good menues for around 30 euro. Excellent starters with homemade ravioli and fresh asparagus, fresh salmon and a huge cheese selection and good ice creams for dessert. What more to ask for? Yes - a lot of tourists - just as us:)

An expensive choice, & not your only good one, at Chenonceau. We were glad we did it as the food was very good & the surroundings lovely.

We had made a reservation in this restaurant of the chateau de Chenonceau almost two months before we actually got there and our reservation did come true, which was a pleasant surprise. The service was nice, the food was OK, but not excellent. It is clear the restaurant caters mainly to tourists.

This restaurant which is on the Chenonceau estate is excellent. We had lunch there. The food is wonderful and the service as well. White linen tablecloths and napkins set the tone. It is elegant and easily accessible next to Catherine de' Medici's garden.

Last month (April 2015), my wife and I had the opportunity to visit Chateau Chenonceau during a Chateux Tour (Royal Valley Tour by Touraine Averse). The Tour as a whole was just average, but the lunch at L'Orangerie was just great. The restaurant is on the grounds of the Chateau. From the moment we stepped into this restaurant, we felt... More

We were brought here by a local vinyard owner who treated us to an excellent meal of french cuisine. Truly superb.
