A gourmet restaurant with excellent service, delicious meals, typical french cousine, good value. A nice rest after walking through the palace gardens. Delight for the senses.

If you visit Chenonceau you simply must eat at this restaurant! We had lunch there and were simply wowed. The setting, the service, the presentation and the flavors were all terrific. We were seated on an enclosed patio with views of very pretty gardens all around. For lunch we both had the gazpacho, which was excellent, my wife had the... More

We were advised to reserve a table for lunch as soon as we arrived at Chenonceau. Great advice!! This restaurant has it all - located in the old orangery with 16th century mosaic floors the service was impeccable and the food was a delight to the eye and an experience of taste that developed through the courses before reaching a... Lunch at L'Orangerie was a perfect conclusion to a wonderful morning exploring the Chateau Chenonceau and her extraordinary gardens. We had looked into the adjacent café and nearly ate there but decided to explore further. Without a booking we were greeted warmly and professionally and shown to a table in the patio area (the main restaurant was full with a... More

This restaurant was as good, if not better than any high end French restaurant in a large US city, at 1/4 of the price. My husband and I had a four course meal and a bottle of wine for about $100. The food was amazingly good with great ambiance.

We had a lovely dinner, both ordering different options on the set menu. Due to strong preferences, I asked to swap out of dish and the server readily gave me some other options, for which I was grateful. The setting, overlooking the chateau was beautiful. Such a scene and such good food, though, came at not a cheap price, but... More

Do not miss this restaurant or the chateau. And while you're there, take a dip in the Cher as Diane de Poitiers did back in the day. She was the "consort" to the King.

We came upon this restaurant by pure hazard during our travels, expecting the usual tourist trap (as it is located inside the Chenonceau grounds). But to be honest it was one of the best meals we've had during a 3 week trip in France, looking at the price, setting and food. We did not make a reservation, but came in... More

We sat in the covered patio area and not the original Orangerie. We had a table overlooking the garden and the Château (half visible through the trees). Very good service. Artistic plating and good wine list. Great value given the location. We booked in advance online (we also bought tix online for the Château). The marginal additional cost of eating... More
