The best lunch I have ever had. The presentations were works of art and were so beautiful that you almost did not want to eat them. Go. You will not be disappointed. As other reviewers have indicated, the prices are a bit high side. That said, I felt I definitely got more than what I paid for. Just wonderful.

This restaurant is somewhat set back from the main Chenonceau Chateau attraction and offers a haven of peace and tranquility in what can be a very busy place. The service, food and ambiance are all excellent. I have included some photos of the restaurant with my review of the Chateau.

We discovered this wonderful restaurant as we were exploring the chateau grounds. As has been mentioned in other reviews, the prices are a bit higher than cafes for lunch, but not excessive for what you get in our view. The food is superb, beautifully presented and served in a refined atmosphere. We enjoyed a relaxed and delicious lunch there.

If you are visiting the Chateau de Chenonceau, make your visit memorable by dining at l'Orangerie Restaurant, in the grounds of the Chateau. I have eaten there on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food, the excellent service or the reasonable prices. A treat indeed.

Our experience at lunch was mixed. The place is superb, and the service by Naveem was excellent, but our main courses were average/poor. In particular, my wife's codfish was dry and tasteless. However, I spoke to another lunchtime visitor who told me that his codfish was excellent, so I suspect that some shortcuts are being taken in the kitchen with... More

We really loved the location and the atmosphere. Perfect place for lunch while visiting the chateau. Food was good although a bit expensive and portions were small.

It was a very wet day so, after visiting the Chateau, we were grateful to get inside. We were seated near the entrance so didn't have a view of the Chateau but of green landscaping. Service was prompt and the food was great. Actually the presentation was an A+' the food a B+. Still, it was lovely and a very... More

My wife, daughter, and I had lunch here on a rainy October afternoon after touring the chateau. What a delight! The rillettes/rillons appetizer was one of the best ever. We enjoyed delicious wine, soup, salad, and wonderful main courses. The restaurant was very quiet. A nice treat after a beautiful day at the chateau.

We ate at L'Orangerie and had a great view of the gardens and the chateau, in an extension in front of the main dining area. No problem. Everything went extremely well. This was a real surprise. I'm not sure we expected food of this quality, nor service. However, it was a delightful experience in good measure because the staff was... More
