Top notch - but expensive

While the food and service were exceptional, the prices did not justify it. It appears that this is a captive setting and so if you stay at the hotel there aren't many places to eat at. But it was worth the experience.

Starting with an amuse bouche trio of fava beans with veal, smoked salmon and lentil purée, followed by a smoked fish mousse, we knew we were in for a great meal. We opted for the prix fix menu; first course was a seared tuna with a fennel salad. Perfection. This was followed by roasted boneless lamb shoulder, browned and crispy... More

We had a memorable meal at Auberge du Bon Labourer. Beginning with the amuse bouche all the way through the dessert, everything was prepared to perfection and served beautifully. It was an outstanding way to kick off a Vacation in France.

Perfectly situated for access to the treasures of the Loire valley dome of them just around the corner. If you like me like your morning run there are plenty of good choices to be enjoyed at the surrounding countryside. Hotel itself is tastefully decorated and impeccably managed. Breakfast one of the best I've experienced.

The breakfast was amazing! Lots of choice and fresh squeezed juice. You won't go hungry. Dinner was excellent as well and fairly priced.

We arrived in Chenonceaux late after a long day of driving and just want a fuss free dinner in the hotel we were staying at. We soon realize that the prices of the hotel restaurant were in the fine dining league. Nevertheless we chose to dine here. The food was really outstanding, easily one of the best meals we had... Wonderful food in a nice setting close to the chateau. Excellent service but not inexpensive. Two hours for a three course dinner so this is not the place if you are in a hurry.

Ive never had a meal like this before. It was perfect. We took the set menu at 52 euro. Course after course, beautifully served by charming waiters. Amuse bouches served between courses, everything looked and tasted so good. Ive eaten in good restaurants all over the world but I dont remember one that comes even close.

We were visiting the Loire Valley Chateaux and I chose this restaurant that seemes to be gastronomix without being over the top. It was exactly that. The style of the restaurant is simple, elegant and creates a unique atmosphere of beimng home and served with kindness and attention. The food was superb (don't miss the foie gras) and the wine... The Hotel is intimate, romantic and outstanding. The staff speaks English and was extremely accommodating even after we checked out and returned to help a few hours later. The restaurant is wonderful.
