The food was quite superb and beautifully presented. The service was very attentive and the whole experience was a delight.
We walked from Chenonceaux into the town to visit this restaurant at the recommendation of a friend. Located inside a hotel, it was very quiet at lunch. The menu is fairly pricey but the food and service were exceptional. I require a gluten free menu and had a blurb about celiac/gf foods printed in French to show the waiter. He... More
My husband and I visited Auberge du Bon Laboureur for dinner as a last night treat before returning to the UK. It was fabulous. Not cheap but for a Michelin-starred restaurant, worth every Euro! The food was wonderful – fresh, interesting flavours and combinations without being over-the-top or too rich. We were additionally treated to many amuse-bouches and unusual breads.... More
Dinner was wonderful. And expensive. But worth it. We started with a small cup of pea soup and continued with starters that included millefeuille de legumes (27 euros) and foie gras de canard (25), main courses that included superb sea bass (38 euros), followed by a palate cleanser, a cheese plate (16) and desserts that included strawberries and cream (15... We visited the Loire Valley in August this year and this was by far the best meal we had in France. The food was very beautifully presented and delicious. On top of the dishes on the set menu we were given amuse-bouche and pre-deserts etc. Everything was fresh and perfect. Our kids ordered simple dishes (not on the menu) and... More

We continue to return to this most pleasing of restaurants. We live in the Loire Valley and rate this establishment as one of our favorites. An abundance of interesting beautiful courses with outstanding service and wine selections.
My wife and I had lunch here while touring the nearby chateau, which was predictably crowded with tourists. This restaurant, which I found through previous TripAdvisor reviews, was a nice escape from the crowds, with a subdued, aesthetic and relaxing terrace. I was not disappointed: The food, ambiance, and service made for a very romantic and relaxing lunch with my... More
We loved the dinner on the terrace. We had the 8 course meal and loved everyone of the courses. They paired wines to our meal which heightened our experience. The cheese selection is superb. Excellent service, waiters and food. An absolute necessity if you are in the area.
This is one of the best restaurants we have ever been, the food was just awesome, the service superb and the ambience great. It is set right in the heart of the Val de Loire, so the wine list could also only be good. I went with the €49 menu with the Salmon starter, the slowly cooked veal and an... More
