A gastronomic treat

Great service, great food, great setting. If you're looking for a wonderful traditional French dining experience in the Loire at a price that won't make your eyeballs pop out of your head, then this is the place.

This is one of the best restaurants experiences you will have anywhere in the world. Everything is top shelf from the setting, the service and of course the food. I was even more impressed that the staff didn't bat an eyelid when we wandered in straight off the bike in our cycle gear.

This meal surpassed all our expectations with the quality of the environment, service, wine and food. We were offered an English version of the menu which was pretty limited in terms of options per course. They do offer a fixed price menu which must have had four courses and looked good value. I had lobster and then fillet of charolais... More

We can't fault the food, wine or the surroundings and most of the service was excellent. So far exactly what you would expect from the Michelin rating and TA comments. HOWEVER, we booked for lunch the day before and on arrival were given a badly translated English menu instead of the French one. We were not asked if we wanted... More

My wife and I spent two weeks in Paris and had some wonderful dinners, but they all pale compared to this small gem. I confess we had never eaten at any Michelin rated restaurant in the past, and we were prepared to be impressed; and we were not disappointed. After looking at the generous portions of some of the entrées,... More

One of the best values anywhere is their prix fixe for 52 euros. We lost count of the number of courses. Each was superb. The waiter was happy to make substitutions for my husband due to allergies. The service was excellent and allowed us to linger over each course without feeling rushed. It was without doubt the most memorable meal... More

Firstly, expect a very hefty bill should you decide you want to eat here. We decided to splash out and dine here for our final night in Chenonceau. The cheaper (it's all relative!) set menu at €52 did not appeal - and only a single choice of starter, main and dessert ! The dishes we chose were absolutely wonderful -... More
