Not cheap, but reasonable for quality. Top service, best we had on trip. All diners were very happy with choice on quality and quantity. Liquor costs reasonable for area. Would go there again if back in area.

Fortunately my son (17 years old) and I discovered this restaurant one evening in Chenonceau before reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. We simply walked to the 5 best-looking restaurants in town (takes about 3 minutes) and read the menus; La Rosaraie had the best set of options at a fair price €23,00 for a 3 course dinner. I had... As this was supposed to be a nice place we went there the other day asking for a table to have dinner. A lady at the hotel's reception asked us to return in 30 minutes as a table would be ready by that time. When returning a more than unfriendly waiter told us that there was not a single place... La Roseraie numbered amongst the best restaurants in Chenonceaux, then changed hands and took a little while to re-establish itself. I believe that the transition has taken place and it is back to original standard. The restaurant has a pleasant ambience, the staff, during my visit, were attentive and friendly, and the food was of a very good quality, although... More

I stayed at the hotel and as weather was cold and rainy, decided to give a try to the hotel's restaurant despite to some negative reviews on TA. I was not disappointed. I had pan fried mushrooms with a slice of fois gras as a starter, followed by cod with white beans - both were delicious, really French food, and... More

We stayed at La Roserie as well as dined at their restaurant - you can easily reserve a table by email beforehand. The food and service were great. They didn't open up the terrace the night we went but we had a window seat.

Food very good quality but on the night we were there the service wasn't brilliant. Seemed understaffed. Wine list a bit on the expensive side to say this is a wine region. Would have expected a wider price range.

We decided to eat here after looking at the menu which seemed reasonable. We have never had such a bad meal in France! I had some lamb which came with a mint jelly the colour of which I have never witnessed before. It was a luminous, radioactive green. I ventured a tiny taste and it was like a really strong... More

We wish we had read all the comments before going there for a meal. The service was rushed and was impersonal, waiter and waitress were just not interested other than "getting the process done" as previously commented by someone else. The ribeye beef was the worst quality we have had. It looked nicely cooked but it was extremely tough to... More

This review is an odd one as there is a review the same week and reacting to the same menu (Steak) that was not so good. My wife got the fixed menu and I ordered a wonderful salad and the steak (and added the Bernaise sauce). we found the wait staff helpful, the wine reasonable, and the steak excellent. It... More
