We sat overlooking the cathedral. Service was what you expect in a French restaurant. The menu was small, but original. The Plat du Jour was Salmon ala Mexicana. The house white wine was delicious. Le Parvis was packed by the time we left, inside and outside, Make a reservation if possible, during the height of dinner hour.

Le Parvis is very close to the Cathedral and on a fine evening you can eat outside. Excellent food simply cooked and presented. Not fussy or pretentious. Very atmospheric at night

We looked for a bistro style restaurant in Chartres on a Tuesday evening and the Parvis seemed just right. Situated directly opposite the cathedral we would have expected the prices to be high. However the menu du jour (three courses) was only 15€. We had a kir to start with (4.50€) and this came with some very tasty nibbles. The... More

This is an excellent restaurant in the perfect location. The proprietor is a lovely lady, who really puts her heart and soul into the place. Very relaxed and homey with great food.

After wandering round we were struggling to decide where to eat but were drawn to this place and were glad we did. The food was delicious though service was a little slow at times due to the place being full, but the staff acknowledged this and apologised. perfect location sat outside the cathedral so we were able to watch the... The staff were very offhand with us because we did not want to eat a meal. Even though we ordered three cocktails that were not cheap. Then when we later asked for the menus they dropped them on our table and didn't come back to take our order. They were very charming to the other customers so I can understand... More

Solid quality food, home-cooked fashion. Good price for Chartres and terrific location right outside the cathedral.

In premium tourist sites, the food is usually very expensive and tastes terrible. But it is just the opposite at the Parvis. We had the "pintade a la normande" (guinea fowl normandy style) and the "joue du boeuf" (beef cheek) and they were both delicious. The veggies coming with them were also great. For dessert, we had the "pain perdu"... More

Le Parvi is the perfect place to stay if you want to visit the cathedrale in Reims. It is situated the nearest to the cathedrale. When you climb the cathedrale tower you can look down onto the hotel..

Stumbled across this place which provided a nice lunch that was a touch pricey but not too bad. The French to English translation doesn't match on the menu, so read both! Hubby had a pain Perdu dessert that was amazing, everything else pretty standard, disappointed that Creme brûlée was served refrigerated.
