Sunday night in Chartres is difficult to find a restaurant open! This was and we had a simple but tasty 3 course meal for 18 Euros. It was packed with men and women on a tour enjoying the a la carte menu.

We ate here for lunch on friday. The meals were very tasteful, the lasagna was delicious. If you can, take the 'meal of the day': cheap for what you get. The personnel isn't friendly at all, that is the only remark. But the view on the cathedral is wonderful :)

This restaurant was conveniently located near the cathedral. It was a rainy, dreary day when we arrived and I was suffering from a cold and cough. I was embarrassed about the cough and covered my mouth with a tissue. When it became worse I went to the restroom so as not to distract the other diners. I just had the... More

Le Parvis deserves a higher rating on Trip Advisor that it has currently achieved. We enjoyed our dinner and drinks with the Cloitre surrounding the Cathedral and lapped up the atmosphere. The menu is original and the pork main course was new to us which added to the experience. The staff were attentive and when I mentioned that I was... More

Good spot opposite the Cathedral, menu had some possibility so we thought to give it a try. Stood by the entrance waiting to be seated. couple of waiters busily bustled by to deliver food or return plates. No help so went inside and asked for a table. Young man seated us and that was the end of the service. Woman... More

After finding that most of our easy picks were closed on Monday, we asked our front desk attendant for a small, charming place with great food. Le Parvis is off the back side of the cathedral square, but is surprising un-touristy and quiet. We were seated two levels below street level under a stone archway ... in a room with... More

We sat overlooking the cathedral. Service was what you expect in a French restaurant. The menu was small, but original. The Plat du Jour was Salmon ala Mexicana. The house white wine was delicious. Le Parvis was packed by the time we left, inside and outside, Make a reservation if possible, during the height of dinner hour.

Le Parvis is very close to the Cathedral and on a fine evening you can eat outside. Excellent food simply cooked and presented. Not fussy or pretentious. Very atmospheric at night

We looked for a bistro style restaurant in Chartres on a Tuesday evening and the Parvis seemed just right. Situated directly opposite the cathedral we would have expected the prices to be high. However the menu du jour (three courses) was only 15€. We had a kir to start with (4.50€) and this came with some very tasty nibbles. The... More

This is an excellent restaurant in the perfect location. The proprietor is a lovely lady, who really puts her heart and soul into the place. Very relaxed and homey with great food.
